For real though.... I would much rather have the towhook mount than have holes drilled and a bracket on my bumper. The tow hook mount isn't bad.
that's what I would do. we're fortunate that PA doesn't require front plates.
I don't care for the looks of a front plate on any car.

I like the idea of fabricating a center mount down low though. If I was forced to, I would probably look at that option

"Why on EARTH are people putting asymmetrical license plates on?"

Because, ...quoting well known user Tcoat..., “Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar, because Racecar.”

The fun part is that in regions that require a front plate the only person that really even notices it is the car owner. I mean really do people think there are strangers driving down the road thinking "Ah shit that car is ruined by that front plate". It is the norm and other than a few "car guys" people just don't care. They are more apt to see no plate and think "What is wrong? I can't quite put my finger on it but something is missing".

Cops can put their finger on it. They know right away because they use them as perfect targets for lidar.

I have mine in on the tow hook with a smoked cover plate on my DGM BRZ. My bumper was already drilled and I haven't had the chance to cover the holes up but I don't care because I will eventually and I like the way it looks in the mean time.

Why do I do it?

Because f**k you, that's why.

i like the silly ass magnetic system i came up with. no holes in the bumper and the plate is in the middle. plus, i can go from plate to no plate in less time it takes you to type 'silly'.

For those who don't know about the magnet system - here it is: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35261
