Idk about that. Considering that we got people already dropping 30k+ for just paint and rims? Why wouldn't there be a market for a hot version?

Paint and rims don't effect emission, mileage or any of the 100 or so other government requirements for import. If they can meet the requirements at all people will be dropping a whole lot more than $30K on them.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made one. I doubt they would go FI though. More like suspension upgrades, new wheels, cosmetic pieces, and maybe +5 hp or something from "revised exhaust" or "revised intake". For $35k? No thanks lol.

I think the FRS/BRZ in its current form is priced ideally for what it has to offer. A cheap, efficient, lightweight, RWD, all motor sports car.

And for crying out loud they are using the patent office as a reference since they are so desperate for news.

I just filed a patent for "No Smellos".... because all I smell is sh** on these sites lol. My "guess" is they will never hit our North American ports even if they are produced.

Or it is posted on an actual Toyota or Subaru site (not some blog made to look like an actual site though).

There are speculation articles, but it's safe to say that the majority of their articles are factual articles. Autoblog is a good source for news 99% of the time. In no way am I defending this article though. lol
