Anyone experiencing a suspected wheel bearing problem? When I turn right (switching lanes) at a high speed (100 kph+) there is a noise coming from the front that sounds like passing a rumble strip. There is no problem when turning left. It was checked already by Toyota Calamba and Bicutan and they cannot detect the problem. I have seen a similar problem on another post.

TIA!

hey guys,

beginning january i plan to start working remotely for my job, generally visiting places for a month or two then moving on to somewhere new. one of those places i'm looking at visiting/starting in is makati. along the way i'm hoping to see and get on new and different race tracks at kart tracks - not sure what karting is available around the philippines but i do see there are 3 tracks (batangas, clark, subic). so i'm wondering,

1. does anyone live around makati?
2. how often do these guys have track days?
3. would it be possible for me to go with any of you as a passenger on the track?
4. is there any way i can also drive around the track (rent an ok car or something?)
5. wouldn't mind bringing something if you were cool with me trying yours (brake pads or something!)
6. any kart tracks i should also try and visit?

i'd also be taking pics and video and making an article for my travel/car blog on your car and the track. i have gopros and data acquisition software, sample of a full session attached.

@sickmint79, google circuit makati (specifically city kart racing), its a newly (well, quite recently compared to those you mentioned) opened track and its within makati (obviously based on the name) and they have go-karts there that you can rent out.. its also an ideal karting track since its really meant for those not unlike what you mentioned since cars and bikes run there too

the karts in the places you mentioned are quite old also.. you can add carmona as well where you can go karting, its a track for go-karts and small bikes

regarding trackdays, 86/brz owners join a racing event which happens once a month but they start around feb/mar, you can watch and ride shotgun, the organizers allow it if its just for time attack where we usually join, we dont join the grid races usually

for normal trackdays, we regularly go during weekends and even during weekdays depends on our availability but at least once a month, somebody from the group goes

there are some owners willing to let you drive their cars but of course you cant expect everybody will be willing hehe

join the open group so you can already post up and introduce yourself and meet the owners

thanks for the response!

i'm a little confused about karting locations based on what shows up in google maps. maybe "city kart racing makati" in google maps is only going to some kind of office? it is right by glorietta mall.

if i just google carmona instead, it takes me to a region where i see the circuit makati solstice condos are being built, so i figure this is the actually correct area for the kart track. is everyone excited for the circuit makati project? looks like it will be a cool area. am i correct in understanding there is one kart track, and at this location?

as far as batangas or clark circuits, since it is warm year round, why do they not have time attacks until feb and after? it sounds like you can show up for novice time attack on the calendar but there are also open track days too? that was the part i was unclear on when messaging them on facebook. you mention going weekends or weekdays - is the track so open that you can kind of go when you like? we need a much more organized day here (like 60 people rent out a saturday) for almost all of our track events in the US. can you just roll up and get on to yours most of the time?

i joined the group 'Toyota 86 Club Philippines' but it does not seem to have much activity, is there another?
i also just put in a request to join 'BRZ-86.ph FB Group'. - name mike taveirne

@sickmint79, the local racetracks here (Batangas and Clark), you dont need to rent it out for you to run around the track.. as long as the track is open (not closed off due to corporate events), you can just pay for the track fee (2000 for Batangas and 3000 for Clark in our local currency) and run the whole day

here are the local racetracks and where they are located and what you can run in the tracks, you can try googling that to be more specific:

Carmona Racing Circuit (Carmona, Cavite) - go kart, motorcycles

Batangas Racing Circuit (San Juan, Batangas) - cars, motorcycles, go kart (?)

Clark International Speedway (Clark, Pampanga) - cars (drift and track), motorcycles, go kart

City Kart Racing (Circuit Makati, Makati) - go kart

there is a new one, Tarlac Racing Circuit (San Jose, Tarlac) but i havent been there and they said that the track is a bit small/narrow and suitable for go kart and motorcycles but they said you can run cars.. afaik, its the farthest as well compared to the ones i mentioned above

for our racing events, they usually start around Feb until Oct

i'll inform the admins of the group so they can add you to the group page

I just ordered the drl relay from toyota. I noticed that it is color brown as compared to the horn relay which is blue. Also the part # written on the box is su003-02439 but the number written on the relay is 156700-1700. Is this correct? Thanks
