I think everyone in these forums knows and accepts the power limitations of the stock configuration. I think we're more likely to be comparing lateral G loads than straight line times and power figures.

Racing on the highway or streets is stupid. Just plain stupid. What does it show? The ability of being a ****?

A V6 Camry would walk the FR-S. Doesn't make me want the Camry more.

Hey guys I saw this 9 year old kid who had a Ninja Turtles shirt and was doing some kicks and having fun so I walked over, picked him up, and threw him across the room towards some other kids. Shit was tight, it was like he had no reach on me, WTF Brah?
The police showed up later and were all "Why did you beat up a little kid?" and I was all "Yo bro he was having fun doing some karate moves and that shit don't fly so I had to show him up." The kid came up to me later and was all "Why don't you challenge me to Sodoku since I'm good at that." I was like "Yo little kid you're too young to be drinking!" What an idiot right!? Anyway he has another friend his age who likes Power Rangers so I was thinking about tracking him down and challenging him to a fight to see if this one goes any different. Will post results. |

You guys shouldnt get too upset over this. It happened to the RX8 guys all the time and it will happen here. I dont think anyone bought this car for drag or roll racing. Just stay out of the left lane to avoid clowns like this.

Agreed! If you bought an FR-S to win highway pulls.. you're doing it wrong. If you get angry because someone in a FWD turbo car or V6 car can accelerate faster in a straight line.. you're doing it wrong. |

![]() I came from an SRT-4 Neon that I had for about 4.5 years with a handful of upgrades. I had a chance to purchase another one after my car was totaled, but I decided to go with the FR-S because of the pure driving pleasure ... Anyone who is worried about beating the FR-S in a drag race obviously doesn't understand what the car is all about. When I shopped for this car I was looking at some much more powerful cars; 350z, G35, Legacy GT Spec-B, Corvette, GTO and yes another SRT-4. But I deiced to go with the FR-S because I knew it would be the most fun to drive, super reliable, looked the best and would have ton of aftermarket support. Plus, I have spent enough time on the drag strip, I'm ready for a road course car.

I had my car less than a day when someone was already trying to race. Everyone is going to need to get used to it sadly.

And yes, there were countless "I beat an RX-8!" threads on forums back in it's early days. And yes, they missed the point entirely. Get used to it, lol... it's your turn
