It doesn't matter if it's pre-cat or post-cat, or whatever other arbitrary jargon you want to label it. To answer your necro question, a lot of times warranty claims are up to the individual dealer. If your dealer wants to go to bat for you, you'd be surprised how much you can get covered by warranty. On the flip side, some dealers won't touch cars with aftermarket intakes. These cars have terrible heat management, and you'd be surprised at what your underhood temperatures reach. I've had IATs hit 145F while sitting in traffic on a 75F day, and this was with completely stock everything. With catless headers, I wouldn't expect the dealer to replace O2 sensors out of pocket, but coil packs? Hell, there's plenty of documented instances of stock cars with bad coil packs. |

Just a quick update, I flashed back to stock and was able to get the dealer to goodwill the second bad coilpack. I then took the initiative to replace the other 2 as and all 4 spark plugs as preventative maint, I also wrapped the top of the coils in Gold heat reflective tape. This all occured at the beginning of August and 4k miles ago and it has been smooth sailing ever since. I'll update this as time goes to see if the reflective tape on the coils is a long term solution. |

Just threw p0353 code for the 4th time in the last 2 months. I haven't replaced anything yet. I'm pretty unfamiliar with this. What exactly was it that had a loose connection? And how did you check it?

I believe he would've checked the coil-pack to plug, then coil pack to wire connections one of them may be lose, it's kind of straightforward but also probably difficult to reach down the side to that

OFT OTS TUNE= Coilpack killer??
Oh I gotcha. Yeah sounds pretty straightforward. I'll have check that before I order any new parts. I appreciate the response.
And while I have you here 😁if I do end up needing to replace the coil pack for cylinder 3, is replacing the spark plug along with it necessary? I've read some people replacing the spark plugs as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

While you're down there you might as well do all them (spark plugs) for shits and giggles, that way you don't waste time in the future
