The white does look very nice, good choice. I saw the black in person yesterday, and it just didn't do it for me... Good to know that yours is only a few weeks away.
The white looked so good at the demo I pretty much couldn't get anything else. Though I ALMOST went red. Can't wait to see your car.

For all the Mendes guys on preorder. Rod will be keeping our cars away from public viewing as they arrive.
That's great news! Hopefully mine will follow soon. I was the second deposit at Mendes but not sure if that means anything.

Enjoy the new toy!

Has anyone who preordered at Tony Graham gotten a call yet? Other than Norman. I know they told me next week but i was really hoping its sooner than that.

So mine has been located. It is on the train bound for Toronto and supposed to be one of the next 2 arriving at Bel-Air. So perhaps by this weekend, but likely start of next week. Gives me a few more days to sell my car I guess.

I ordered from Tony Graham and I am actually first on the list (First deposit and first order entered) but Norman's car came in first even though he was second on the list. We both have had VINs for about 4 weeks.

Tony Graham was not sure which car would arrive with their Asphalt MT demo until they showed up this morning. My car now shows a June 21 delivery but they don't know if that means anything as the status on the pre-orders regularly flips back and forth between port, rail, depot and rail without rhyme or reason. Today was the first time they ever saw a delivery date so maybe it is real but I hope not. I am pretty sure they said they have word that another FRS (Not mine) is due on Thursday or Friday this week.

I guess we all need to be patient (It's soo hard) as the dealers seem to have no control over the order in which the cars arrive.

I was glad to see the demo in Asphalt as I have an Asphalt AT on order and the colour is amazing! When I was there at lunch time customers were beginning to line up for test drives of the demo.

There was no sign of Norman's Raven MT as they are keeping it safe for him at the PDI shop elsewhere.

Thanks guys I appreciate it. The wait is more than worth it.

Apparently I am more of a drifter than I thought. The car gets loose very easily and I was not pushing it.

Pictures do not do the colors justice. The raven in the sunlight is spectacular as the metalic paint really comes to the forefront.

Everywhere I stopped tonight People were stopping to check out the car. Mostly motorcyclists and other sports car enthusiasts. Although one guy in a pick up truck high beamed me a stop light and gave me a thumbs up. I didn't get many of those in my Civic. LOL

They are not lying when they say everything is at the drivers fingertips. have never felt one with the road before tonight.

Would like to thank Rod Lefebrvre of Mendes and M. of Scion Canada for all the assistance with the car. Much appreciated.

On a humorous note had to ask how to reverse the car at the dealership as I am not used to a six speed. Rod kind of looked at me in disbelief.

Can't wait until we all get our cars and can hopefully get together for a meet and greet.

My wife who is 5 5 and my 10 year old son had no problem getting in the car. Forget about getting in behind the driver though.

Will only have to clean out 1/2 your garage as the car is so small it fits in tiny spaces.

Car still pulls nicely in 5th and 6th gear. Amazing. Never revved it over 5000.

Some scion dealership in Montreal was trying to purchase the raven demo unit from Mendes. If you are looking for a test drive you might want to call before it is gone.

That's too bad Zootramp, hopefully it won't take that long to arrive.

With the delay due to the owner's manual mistake, it's too bad Scion didn't take advantage of that extra time to get the delivery schedule more organized!

If your car had the typical dealer prep where they spray tire goop not just on the sidewalls but also on the outside edge of the tread, that can kill your cornering until it wears off in a little while. Dadhawk had exactly the same experience for a short time after delivery.

Glad you're having fun with the car. Maybe a meet on Friday if the weather holds? Heck, I'll go even if my car doesn't show up by then! It'll give me a chance to check out all the other colours.

.....
Definitely did, aggrevated by the fact that it was raining most of my first 100 miles. It has now settled down and is no issue even in the rain.

Thanks guys. It seems to be better this morning, If the weather is decent Friday night I will be at the Merivale Tim's as was the plan before the delays. Hope all can make it. Dadhawk you are invited as well, it is only an 18 hour drive from where you are located. Would definately take care of the rest of your break in period. LOL Klinn, I will confirm later on this week when I will be there.

ROAD TRIP! :happy0180:

Wish I could make it. I'm already through the break-in period so I guess I can't use that as an excuse.

Is that for the Automatic and upgraded sound system? Also I would go on Scion.ca and enter the numbers on the calculator to compare. It should be the same as what they are quoting you.
