eengee's SWP Limited BRZ

Finally took deliver of my car today. I couldn't stop giggling like a school girl. The car is just phenomenal. I'm in a state of euphoria right now so I can't write a good review.

The things that I noticed so far:
-NAV unit synced completely with my iphone. All my contacts synced right up which was awesome
-VSC is great. It's raining over here in the Tri-State. I'm coming from a WRX so I took a corner a bit too vigorously. Backend swung out but VSC straightened it out right away
-Seats fit me like a glove. I've driven the FR-S and I really like the limited seats more

And of course, this thread would be useless without pics. Here's some quick ones I snapped tonight. Enjoy!

OMG I wet myself. This is sex on wheels. Berry Nice BRZ limited you got there. Love the first shoot of the city skyline at night with your LED lights on.

1st and 4th shot are amazing.

You need to re-take the first one, a bit blurry.

Yea. I completely agree. I didn't notice until I got on my computer that it was blurry.

I kinda figured looked like West NY, that's where I kick it when I head up there. Miss living up there at times.

Update:

Currently at 200 miles. Car feels great. Kind of hesitant to take corners hard after my accidental drift scenario. Definitely can't wait to learn the car better at an autox. Get plenty of looks on the road and a coworker stopped me in the parking lot to check out the car. Coworker drives and Audi S4.

Some key observations:
-You will be shifting a lot. I'm in 4th or 5th gear just doing speed limit of 35 mph. However, the shifter is so crisp and short and precise that I enjoy shifitng
-Torque dip in 3-4 is definitely noticeable. this is especially prominent when in 6th gear on highway. 3-4 K in rpm is roughly 70-90 mph. Downshift will probably be required to fix but not a big deal. Haven't tested it out yet due to break in.
-Satellite radio awesome. I feel like I've been living in the stone ages before this car.
-Rear view mirror and rear defroster works quickly. I woke up to fogged up windows and turned it on. Mirrors were probably clear in a couple minutes.
-Currently still playing around with my seat position in the car to find my optimal spot. Also trying to figure out how messaging works with the bluetooth connectivity and iPhone.

More to come soon...

Finally got my paint protection and tint done. Unfortunate that I got a stupid tiny little chip in the front bumper already. It's hardly noticeable but it's annoying knowing that it's there. The hood came out so nice too.

Here's some pics:

Shout out to leeberbs who did the install. Probably one of the best installers in the tri-state area. I highly recommend him if you are in the area and plus he now has experience with installs on BRZ's and FR-S's.

Figured I should update this.

I'm currently at 2,700 miles and the car is just amazing. Here are some quick answers and confirmation of many things people have heard:

Q: Does the torque dip hurt and is it noticeable?
A: The torque dip is very noticeable. The car is still fantastic though even with the torque dip.

Q: Does my car chirp?
A: Yes, I believe it does. However, I don't really let it bother me because I have been enjoying driving it so much.

Q: Do you think this car needs more power or does it need anything else?
A: No. I am so thankful and so happy that I bought this car. I came from a 2009 WRX. I have definitely second-guessed myself before about going down in HP and torque and almost every other question you can think of. However, I do not regret it at all. The reason is that although the BRZ may not stack up to the WRX on paper, the limits of the BRZ seem to be higher than the WRX.

This is my opinion. I would push the WRX and feel like I am at the edge, but you never really know. There is no "feel" to the car. You seem to trust the car more than actually communicate with it. With the BRZ, I have been able to do almost everything that my WRX has done. If the WRX did corner X at Y speed, the BRZ is able to do it as well. Not only does the BRZ do it, but it does it in a much more composed manner and still shows signs that it wants to just keep going. This car has literally been taking me to school every time I drive it. For all the naysayers of this car, I firmly believe that you have not even to begun to push the limits of this car.

In my opinion, I can not see how any enthusiast that loves to drive would dislike this car.

More to come later. I have some scheduled autocrosses and performance driving schools in the month of July. I can't wait to truly discover the limits of this car in its stock glorious form.
