Yep!
Now in reality what we do is really Fair Use or Public Domain stuff so not a big deal. The company using the pic from here without permission is not the same thing as they are expecting to make money off it so it is a copy write infringement not to ask permission.
But again...internet

You have no idea how many time I have typed a reply to a post and then thought "ah shit I can't post that or I will get my ass fired if it goes out". There have probably been a few that slipped through that I didn't catch though.

I know of at least 3 cases where different blogs used speculation from here and cited it as "inside information" but can't remember exactly what threads they were.

As a hobby photographer with a lot of photos online, I find my stuff in the strangest places.

What to do about it depends on where and who.

Personal blogs, Tumblr, facebook, etc: I do nothing. Why would I? What could I achieve?

Commercial sites: I send them an email with "copyright infringement...cease and desist...fee for 1 online license: $xxx, send to my PayPal please." So far, I've had 99% total ignore, some change the pic and two or three has actually paid me.

One, exactly one, replied with insults. I found out who was hosting his dubious boating trip site in South Africa and got the site taken down permanently on grounds of copyright infringement.
I was informed soon after that the guy had insulted someone else and was blacklisted by ISP's in the whole country.
The others I haven't bothered with. Life's too short.

I found one of my landscapes on a government site once, though... Fleeced them for the prize of a good lens

Anyway, my advice: Contact the eBay dude, tell him you want $100 for the use of the photo, settle for $30.

Sure, after speaking to my contact at Subaru of America I came into some info. The 2017 Subaru BRZ STI Limited Edition Azorora Blue Registry edition is coming soon, It will have a supercharged, procharged, electric sc turbo and will have a super stability control that basically have wings and an afterburner come on so you can fly. Industry trusted source confirmed. It will be available everywhere except Japan as Japan never gets anything good

I can confirm that. My insider at Subaru informs me that the 2017 Subaru BRZ STI Limited Edition Azorora Blue will be available in Europe as a limited, numbered series.
He said he was quite certain it won't actually fly, though.

Flying will only be for the US edition as Europeans have emissions preventing them from using the afterburner system. It does not fly per-say more of a long distance controlled gliding (refer to French movie Taxi 3), driver will need to gather speed and catch a ramp at the proper angle for takeoff trajectory to be possible, the new variable stability system will prevent takeoff if the criterias are not met. Only way around is a new pedal dance involving actual dancing.

This is confirmed by the leaked Subaru video. The video also clearly shows the special edition's raised roofline, one off colour and retro styled steering wheel.
