This is true but I think the strip may look better in reality then in the pictures. The pic just sort of singles it out and you don't get a good view of the total effect.

I'm a fan of Toyota's Pacific Blue Metallic personally.

Release Series 2.0 details leaked?

Yes and no. Scion is limited to the choices Subaru authorizes, because the cars are still manufactured at Fuji which means they're forced to use Subaru paint codes. The car was originally suppose to be the color known now as hyper blue until Subaru decides to use it for their own cars and restricted it from scion. I've talked to the project leader for the release series cars and basically desert khaki ended up what they thought was the best choice among what Subaru offered them.

Makes sense to me. Might as well use what they got, and did the same with wrb too.

How can they boast about luxury inside as if you'll be getting something really special? There isn't anything apart from the upholstery that might suggest luxury that sets it apart from the monogram FR-S or limited BRZ but really it's just the colour scheme that's different. Pretty pathetic at this point but I suppose for the right price, it might not be so bad.

And the paint for the RS1 is the same as the Crosstrek which isn't even made in that plant?
What about Lava?
Are the new red and blue also existing colours?
I can not believe for one minute that Toyota was told "these are what you can have take it or leave" it no matter how rational that may seem on the surface.

Let's wait to see how much it weighs. I bet they slapped on a bunch of damping material.

Crosstrek is on the same assembly line as the FR-S. The Crosstrek got a special edition with the yazu yellow, too. The red and blue match the WRX colors. When white and silver changed over in 2015, they changed to colors that matched the WRX.

What a let down. I like the color combination, but I don't see this being a special edition in anything other than badge only.

Lava was the only color agreed upon to be outside of subarus color code. Yes all changes to color shade with the white, red, and blue were subaru's change to those colors. Yuzu yellow is used on the Crosstrek and the current crop of STi cars like the tS and s207. It doesn't matter where the cars assembled, it's the formulation (paint code) and purchase agreement of the paint from the supplier that Subaru has control of

Sorry your info isn't correct. The GT86 Giallo/RS 1.0 C2Z paint was used on the Crosstrek after the GT86 and FR-S was made it's not a Subaru color.

Also don't forget about the 10 Series Silver Ignition 1J8 paint.
Remember the 86 is a Toyota design.

Anyone got input on the HID part? Want to swap out the Halogen of it lol. And does the whole assembly need to be replace, or I can swap it out like a regular HID kit? and does it need to be adjusted?
