I am going to write "You have no new messages" on some paper and seal it in a bottle then toss it into the ocean.

Dude WTF?! I actually sang the song in my head when he posted... I think we might honestly be twins separated at birth.

Just want to get some opinions on what happened.
Took my car to a friends shop to get worked on and during the middle of the work we realized one of the supports for the lifts isn't on the jacking point but on the bottom of my drivers side front fender. He lowered the car immediately and put it back on the correct jack point, lifted the car back up and continued working. This caused the bottom of my fender to be pretty banged up, but there seems to be no missalignment of my fender when comparing the body lines to my door. Anyways I talked to him about it and we're going to see what it takes to just get that dent out. I consider him a friend so of course I stayed calm even though I was "oh no my baby!" on the inside. I've just been worrying about it because it is kind of a serious matter but I don't want to have it affect the friendship.

@MisterSheep that's a bummer. If I put myself in your shoes, I couldn't fault my buddy. I don't look at it as a business transaction, especially since he was helping you out. Sucky situation though.

Yeah, I get you. If I did that to my friend's car I would definitely offer to pay for the damages, or a portion of it. If a friend of mine did it to my car, I wouldn't take payment for it. But it all depends on the relationship. Back in the day (a new friend at the time) backed into my freshly painted bumper. He offered to pay for the damage and I accepted. We are good friends years later, and if it happened again, I probably wouldn't let him pay for the damages. Maybe you should get a PDR quote, and casually bring it up to him if you're not comfortable being blatant about it.
