Those long drives are the reason I refuse to get an aftermarket exhaust.

Mine has no drone at highway cruising speeds. I get tired of hearing road/tire noise though. Nothing that music can't fix but on shitty roads, I kinda wish I had ear plugs. |

I dunno but I love the drivers seat. I guess my ass is just better padded than some...
Yup, some road noise and a firmish ride > Sports Car. Tough to get in and out? Yup > Sports Car. I sure don't mind getting (well) over 30mpg on the road, even doing 15-20 over. I do at least 3 hours a day five days a week and regularly think that this is a really good commuter car and when I do get to do little road trips it just eats up the miles and is a pleasure to be in. Yeah I've had better road trip cars but not by much.

I believe the video of Swedish hipster kids was from Geiranger. Lovely roads in that area, a little narrow though. ![]() ![]() No, the tire noise doesn't bother me on roads like that ![]() It's the highway traffic that gets to me sometimes. But hey, don't envy me. Envy the Swiss. They've got so many awesome mountain passes, it's pure heaven. |

My Miata has modified and lowered suspension, and that kicks the crap out of me on a long drive (I was really beat up after LA - Boston and Boston - Miami - Boston drives...). -Justin |

Maybe I suck at positioning my self and it's only one week driving this car (500 miles), but when I'm in the freeway (mild traffic, speeds vary between 60-70 my foot kinda feels uncomfortable pushing down the accelerator pushing down to pick up speed, letting go, and repeating (I drive for an hour) I think it's because my right leg is at an angle while driving, I don't have long legs though so I probably just suck at positioning and need to learn how to adjust my seat properly lol.

I sit far enough where my left foot can go all way down the clutch, sometimes it feels like I'm too close, but I guess it's messing around and see what feels more comfortable each time. How would you describe the correct way to sit?

I sit far enough where my left foot can go all way down the clutch: When push down on the clutch fully is your leg completely straight/extended? If so I believe you should still have a slight bend in your knee (that would also reduce pressure on the leg) |

Found out without any interior mods, car is average comfy for:
X<2hrs in hwy x<40min in street Once interior is changed (i.e. pillow for your butt, car seat cover [leather/pvc or whatever cheap plastic is called], seat raised a little in front where knees bend, added a type of right hand rest or back neck rest): X<4hr drive yes it doubled! X<1hr street driving. This is from past 1.5-2 months testing. Helps when you find comfy shoes too!
