What Lip Kit Should I get to Cover this Up?
Screwed up bad today and moved too far forward into a curb while parking.
![]() It got some of the paint and dented the bumper a little. Are there any cheap lips that go high enough to cover this up? I know an S-Craft would do the job but it's over 500 dollars if I want to get it shipped here... This is a 2015 BRZ. |

have you try to pop it out ? just use a wood stick gets behind the bumper and push it. and use a touch up paint to cover it up. with a lip, your front bumper would probably fall off.

I actually never thought about pushing it back out. I'll try it out soon. Thanks.

A friend of mine once bent the front bumper of his dad's Subaru Outback. His dad would have been incredibly pissed, so we decided to fix it before he came back the next day. Turned out that the plastic bumper bent itself back in shape within 8 hours of the accident. I was so relieved that I didn't have to take off the bumper in order to punch it back myself.

It's possible the decrease in 30F overnight helped out the process a bit too...somehow. |

Try pouring hot water on it as well. There are YouTube videos out there showing this. Disclaimer: I have never done this myself, attempt at your own risk.

Or even a blow dryer on high. It takes surprisingly little heat to get these bumpers to "remember" their shape.
@Choco is the expert on bendy bumpers.

Actually, no. Heat gun = 400F+ (this is for a crap one) Boiling water = 212F You'll never damage anything with the boiling water, but you could melt stuff with a heat gun very easily. Anyway, that damage is on the underside and barely visible. STI style front lip would cover it almost completely, and no your bumper won't fall off... |
