is it just me..

but in the past several weeks, people keep asking if my car is a Supra
just had one the other day from the UPS guy.. i just reply with, i wish!!

An older (far older than me - I'm 43) dude asked me if I wanted to trade my FR-S for his F350 at the gas station the other day. When I laughed, he said "Probably for the best...the wife would kill me!". I LOL'd.

So, i was just chilling in front of a store with my wife cause there was one of those sausage stands so anyways, yum yum, went to throw out the wrapper and this teenager comes up to me and asks "hey, is that a GT86 or FRS?" cause he saw that i had the Toyota badges which already surprised me that from so far away he noticed i changed the badges! (Keep in mind he was inside the store! haha)

Anyways i told him that it was a FRS and that we never got the GT86 but basically the same car with a higher trim level level so compared to how the BRZ comes equipped. Then i told him about the monogram edition....anyways we talked like 10 minutes and he told me how his fiend wants one.

The thing is, he knew a lot and i was surprised. He told me about the rocket bunny kit and knew the price, told me how he wanted the invidia exhaust, and that he loved cars like the sti and supra!

Even told me how he and his friends one time followed an R8 and man...that's how i was! haha

You know...the world at that age is exciting and just brought me back in time...the awesome days of being a teen!

I asked him his age and he told me his 14 and i just felt so damn proud to know teens still love cars like this and want to get involved! It reminded me when i was 14 and was just obsessed with cars.

I don't know, i just wanted to share this story. Driving home I felt so happy to know that one day that teen will be part of the car community also!

I find that it's the millennium generation kids that truly love this car. Reminds me of when I was 14 and dreaming of Supras, mr2s, and 300zxs.

Yeah so true, i feel like in video games especially, a lot of kids probably pick our cars and pretend to be drift stars

Younger teens, older guys like me and any age Asians all seem to want to talk about the car.

Is that true? the FRS is a higher trim level than the BRZ? I thought it was the opposite.

Sorry, i mean GT86 has the same trim level as BRZ.

I'm pretty young too and I always loved cars like Supra, NSX, S2000 and such when I was a kid.

Its nice to see some people around the same age or older sharing car knowledge, instead of talking down to them or whatever. I don't know much about cars, but I do have a few friends that doesn't mind teaching me about cars, especially stick shift.

But its pretty cool tho, that kid that young knows more then me now lol

the people my age that dont own the car, hate it and make fun of it
