Invidia N1 Catback Exhaust Dual TI Tips

I know there are other amazing exhaust brands out there like HKS and Greddy but to be real they're ridiculously expensive and for no reason...like there is a point where they're not even boosting power anymore and you're just paying for sound...so I wanted to get opinions on the Invidia N1's which are pretty affordable and I've heard sound great. I just wanted to know if anyone has them and how they feel about them, or if you've heard them and thoughts on sound. Feedback would help me a ton because I'm in desperate need of some mods and I've decided to start out with exhausts.

Thank youu

The Invidia is definitely on the loud side and if you change the header you will be reminded it's there at all times. The MXP Comp RS is another quality exhaust to look at for the price. I got mine for under $500 new and I love the sound. Like the Invidia though, it's loud. Like you, I couldn't see spending $1k plus on something that makes 5hp at the top of the rpm range and is mainly a noise maker.

Magnaflow produces some awesome sounds. Was going to pick it up until I heard the Corsa (almost double the price but it sounds more amazing imo).

There are so many people with the N1 and so many threads discussing it that a search would probably answer your questions. But anyways...

The N1 sounds nice and deep, but it is one of the louder exhaust options (in fact, all of the dual-canister style exhausts are going to be loud). Prepare for persistent drone at highway speeds. And god help you if you get a catless header to go with it.

I feel as if everyone has an invidia n1. They're loud. The q300 is quieter. The q300 is a better choice if you want a catless header. n1 is better for if you just want to go catback.

Personally i picked up my exhaust; J2 engineering catback with a agency power front pipe and overpipe for only $400. One day I want to change to a ark grip catback but I love the sound I currently have. I'll had a high-flow cat in the front pipe when I get my catless header.

My advice is to go to a meet and ask if you can hear other people's exhausts and get a feel from there. Look up local meets in the regional threads. I see you're from California, but which part. I'm in the norcal bay area and we have multiple meets throughout the week.

I don't really like how the tips point outwards instead of straight back on the N1.

I have the N1 exhaust. The sound is nice. It's deep with a good rumble. But I actually thought it was too quiet even though it is one of the loudest options we have for this car. I eventually got a catless unresonated front pipe to fix that problem. Much louder now.

Originally I was looking at the Borla catback. I like how their tips are bigger than stock but still kinda OEM looking. The big ass N1 mufflers are bait. When the police come up behind me they know where all that noise was coming from

I don't like the N1 at all. It's loud, but not in a good way, and just doesn't have a quality sound to it. It sounds like a cheap exhaust and looks ricey. All of that is just my personal opinion though.

With pretty much any exhaust on these cars you're paying for the sound. None of the catbacks out there will result in any truly significant gains over any other exhaust. Get whatever you think sounds/looks best in your price range.

If you plan to stay stock, the N1 is the perfect sound imho. It's not too loud, but if you get on it, it's mildly aggressive. I have a full exhaust with the N1, and it's loud as hell, but I love how OVERLY aggressive it is. Check out my build log in my signature, you can see a small video of the N1 w/ a full exhaust.

I got the exhaust a couple of months ago. It's definitely loud but has a nice, low growl to it. I tend to use the baffles that come with it to keep it quieter during the week for my commute to and from work. They literally take 2 minutes to screw in and out and still the exhaust is a bit louder than stock, but much more tolerable. Drone is minimal on the highway until about 80mph, then it gets a little bit more noticeable, but all about how you adjust the throttle. Overall, for the cost it's a great exhaust and an easy install for good sound.

I had the Invidia N1 for roughly 6 months and sold it. I drive alot on the highway and I found the droning at 3.5-4K rpm was just unbearable. I didn't really notice how annoying it was until I sat in the passenger seat for the trip.

I'm happy with my Perrin 2.5 Catback

N1, invidia, catless resonated front pipe. Deep with no rasp and a tolerable noise level. I loved it. Then I got a catless header. I still love it, but it is considerably louder. Oh well, racecar. I definitely recommend a resonated front pipe of some sort.
