I've been thinking of doing the same to my trunk. Are you going to do the spare wheel well or the backseats? Or both? I'd like to know how it turns out. I'm thinking of doing some MLV on the back seat area myself.

Wow, she can hear your exhaust all the way from the kitchen?
Just messing with you. Let us know how the sound deadening works out for you. I've never installed Dynamat but something I've always been interested in.
How much did that pack cost you? Links...

I ran my car pretty hard for about 2-3 hours and my ears were ringing by then. I felt like I had just came back from a concert. Next time, I'm definitely wearing hearing protection. I don't want to become like one of those old coots that are like huuuh whaaaa?

I will do the trunk (under spare wheel) and doors first.
Then If I have some extra, I might just do the read seats.

Either method ends with him sleeping on the couch.

Sadly, I am putting my winter kit in the trunk now... Collapsible snowshovel, snow brush and ice scraper.

Tcoat, snow came way too soon this year.

Wow! I remember when I had my S14 with JIC coilovers, full exhaust, bald tires, etc, I used my decibel tester on my phone and it read 90 on the way to Seattle on the highway!

I think you are going to want some MLV. I didn't notice much difference in loudness with mat alone.

I did CLD/CCF/MLV on my doors last week and it's substantial. I'm doing the trunk tomorrow.

What brand and how much did you use for the doors? I'm about to receive my OEM Audio Plus system and I figured I would get the door deadening out of the way since I'm removing the panel anyways. Any help is appreciated!

Applied Dynamat in trunk. Added about 3lbs I think. Not too bad.

I have not done any test drive yet.

Used three 18X32 mats. And still have six 18X32. I will cover the door panels and probably rear seats after a few days. After that I hope there will be a noticeable difference on road/wind noise and maybe exhaust sound.

I will try to test drive after I have done everything. If I am not satisfy with the result I might consider adding the MLV. Thank you.

I did the whole back of mine right up to the back of the front seats. Did both doors and truck lid as well and up the rear quarters as far as I could reach. Everything with dynamat and then their foam mat. Did all the floor taking out the spare and then also covered under rear covering for the spare etc. It definitely helped but don't expect a huge difference.
