engine (block) mounting points

might be different

sub/toyota said from the start that the FA engine would be different

remember that in a subaru application, the engine has to sit far enough out so that the axles from the transmission align with the wheels.

at first i thought they would just do the exact same thing, but looking at some of the front crossmember pictures, it looks like they did the sensible thing and moved the engine back.

could be wrong, but something to keep in mind.

Due in no small part to a little thing called a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

It's something that is on hold for an engine teardown and some inside confirmation on EMS options...that aren't available yet

I think between the wait on EMS, design time and current ongoing of my new pistons; it'll pay off in the end.

You should be able to make 220-230whp safely with a small turbo kit.
Less stress on the builder and good power gains

But what about the power delivery characteristics? Even wrx guys who have a turbo often opt for the extra .5 when rebuilding.

Yeah WHEN rebuilding. It would almost be stupid not to.
Its going to be a while before we see a spun bearing or something

this would be interesting. I for one don't want the extra weight of turbos or super chargers, intercoolers, etc hanging off the nose of the car. if there is another .5L to be had naturally aspirated, I'd pay a premium, even if there is less power than forced induction...
