I leave mine in the slot next to the cupholders. It fits perfectly (Nexus 5).

I plug mine into a USB charger in the glove box. With BlueTooth on, I can still make/take calls or use it to play music. Besides, I have a Nokia 1520 and it's too big to fit anywhere else but the door bottle holder. I do have a holder that sticks to the little triangular driver's side window if I need a GPS which works nicely - holds my phone which is not necessarily light-weight. Holds a 7" tablet, too. This one...

Phone is way too big now for the cubby hole under climate controls (old phone was only 3 inch screen).

Now the phone goes into the space in front of the cup holders - where the power outlet is.

Feels like I wasted 15 dollars on an auxiliary cord since all I use is bluetooth now, which works surprisingly well! Only use it for music though

Lol what phone do you have? I have an S6 and it fits right in the cubby hole.

I usually leave my phone under a leg or on the passenger seat under an object like a book or my bag or something so it doesn't fly around. Used to do that space yours is in but my drives are sometimes twisty and fast and up/downhill enough to knock it around and I can't stand that.

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition. Even without the bumper cover, it still wont fit.

You have to angle it properly for it to stay still instead of just ploping it in there. Doesn't nudge when I do "boy-racer" maneuvers... I'll try to follow up with pictures later!

I do under my leg too at times but if I'm getting blown up on it I won't since I will be feeling lots of vibrations lol
