You don't need a spring compressor, I did mine this way. You do need a low profile jack, Jack stands, torque wrench you can get all these from Harbor Freight. The guy in this video is weird but it's effective.

Great video. He does a great job of describing what he is doing.

I installed RCE Yellow springs in my car at the beginning of 2015. My method was similar to the video, but i did not remove the shock cap assembly (the parts held in by the 3 nuts). I used an open ended socket and T handle allen key (sold by Harbor Freight), and removed the shock shaft nut only. I also supported the whole car on jack stands.

On the front, I was able to swing the suspension arm down, then carefully tilt the shock away from the wheel well to install the new spring while leaving the shock on the car.

I had never done any suspension work prior to this. Took me nearly 5 hours as I was very cautious about doing this.

Thanks for the pictures. I am looking to replace my headlight bulbs with an exact match of the installed LEDs that came with my car. Anyone know which spec bulbs I should buy?

Was surprised and received my Light Smoke Helix sidemarkers, finally got rid of those ugly amber markers The first pic is the OEM bulb with the marker then with the LED, also the light smoke seems to blend in nicely with blue, and a night shot :] Just backup and fog light left to go and I'm 100% LED

I also prayed enamel clear on the springs so they'll be easy to clean.

Was wheel alignment necessary?

Yes, in the install instructions has specs for the alignment machine. So I will have to get that done.

How challenging is it to remove and install side markers?

Well I just guessed on the 1st try and found out it can be done with just a long flathead. I removed the plastic clips in front of the tire just under the marker that holds the wheel well to the fender. It's a flexible plastic and you can move it out of the way. From below using a ling skinny flathead I just pressed on clip "A" marked on the new sidemarker and twist the screwdriver to slightly pop the top of the marker and once you got a hold of the top I firmly pulled down ant the other two clips let go. Thats all.
