I am sure I know one guy that would be right over to join you! Don't know how to get a hold of him now though.

Anyone who hasn't seen Attack the Block needs to, John Boyega is going to be fantastic for many years to come.

Going to sit down and watched the Despecialized trilogy over the next week or two.

Oh, you're a robot hand guy. I'm not sure if that's necessarily him, or if it's just a red herring. I'd know it's him, if JJ would come out and say that it's not Luke. Just like when he told us Cumberbuns wasn't Khan.

Exactly two people with robot (right) hands in the Star Wars universe, one known to be dead, both associated with R2-D2.

Impressive amount of mental gymnastics for a red herring, if the robot hand is meaningless and r2-d2 is meaningless than the shot is meaningless and they could have put another explosion in it's place.

I'm a little disappointed they gave away that Boyega joins the Rebel Alliance, probably going to avoid watching any trailers from here on out.

This is exactly why I avoid watching trailers for any movie I really want to see.

Technically there was 3. One had 2 right hands... but who's counting Generals?

I'm just going to call it:

Kylo Ren (of the Knights of Ren) has the original surname Skywalker.

Luke turns evil.

Disney trumps Warner Bros. by having Luke v Leia a full quarter ahead of Batman v Superman.

I just wouldn't put it past JJ to have another guy lose a hand/have a robot hand, because it's like poetry, it rhymes. Everything has to be about a Skywalker. Obviously, I'm not arguing that the shot is meaningless. It's obviously a callback to ANH.

Also, Luke isn't on the poster.

Mark Hamill was confirmed to be in the movie like two years ago. Not to mention pictures of the cast read and his leaked costume test pictures.

If there's two things I'm excited for in this movie it's Boyega and Hamill.

Edit: And that stuff about 'poetry rhyming', you're a good troll.

This is the only reason why JJ Abrams signed up to helm the reboot:

The director, who had previously rebooted Star Trek for the big screen in 2009 and was in the midst of finishing his 2013 sequel Star Trek Into Darkness, simply said he preferred to turn to some original projects. Undeterred, Kennedy persuaded him to helm Star Wars: The Force Awakens by asking a simple question, one with the potential to upend our core beliefs about the galaxy far, far away. “In the context of talking about story and laying out what we were thinking, I said one thing to him,” Kennedy recalls. “‘Who is Luke Skywalker?’”

Abrams, who’s 49 now but was only 11 when the original Star Wars debuted in 1977, decided he needed to know the answer, even if he had to devise it himself. “He said, ‘Oh my God, I just got the chills. I’m in,’” Kennedy says. “I mean, it really was almost that quickly.”
