Tomei 60s vs Greddy CS GTS Ver. 2

which one should I go?
I want something that is relatively loud but not too loud.
Free of drone.

Tomei seems to have ground clearance issue.

Any suggestion?

Loud but free of drone... hmm Does something like this even exist?

Perhaps you should try looking into axle backs that retain the stock resonated mid-pipe. Track pipes are plenty loud. Some say they don't drone, although I'd beg to differ. I suppose what can be consider "drone" or "loud" is pretty subjective.

Yes, but the large resonator on the factory mid-pipe is very effective at canceling drone in the exhaust. Deleting the even larger stock muffler will let out the sound you're looking for. IMO, track pipes are really loud without the tin-can sound that many cat-backs seem to have. The exhaust note when you retain just the factory midpipe is actually very very nice, but it just too loud for me.

I honestly cannot tell you what you would like. Although I CAN tell you that both of these will be way too loud for me, personally. lol Also I think the Tomei is the better value simply because it's fully titanium and $400-500 cheaper. Though, I have a feeling finding the best value is not really an issue for you. You want what you want. haha

They have a weekly 86 meet in Irvine. I'd suggest attending that a few times and asking for rides with people that have different exhaust installed to see which exhaust you'd like most. Who know's? Maybe you end up finding something you like better than either one of these 2 exhausts.

Here's the thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ghlight=irvine

Edit: Ah.. NVM I think the Irvine meet died out. But do try to attend some meets and check out peoples exhaust setups.

Tomei 60S owner here. During flat cruising, there's no drone. I find it only drones if you're going up a long steep hill where you're constantly holding a higher RPM, and a little bit on deceleration between about 2-3k RPM. Did a 2300-mile road trip a few months ago; drove about 8 hours per day. No complaints.

I've had it for about 1.5 years now and have no regrets. The Tomei titanium exhausts have a unique sound over the stainless steel options; I absolutely love it.

where do you live man? I live in cali and my area has lots of speed bumps.. especially at my apartment area. everytime i pass those i have to downshift to 1st gear. kinda annoying. yea i love how tomei sounds. but just worry about its ground clearance since i don't like to make a curve whenever passing those bumps

I live in Vancouver, Canada. I drove to San Francisco and back and have never had ground clearance issues anywhere with the exhaust. The only thing I scrape on occasion is my diffuser. Even before the diffuser was installed, no scraping on the exhaust, ever. I'm also lowered about an inch.
