My brother-in-law's son wrecked his BRZ a couple of months ago; no surprising considering how he drives. Anyway, I saw him today and he had a rear diffusor off of the car to sell for $60. He needed the money, I wanted a diffuser anyway so we did the deal. Putting it on tomorrow!

This forum has a very distinct pattern of posts that I find curious, because I don't really see it anywhere else on the internet.

First post: incredibly open-ended question, with a misleading topic name.
Everyone responds, saying the OP needs to be more specific.
OP responds, gets really aggressive, adds details that we would've needed to answer original question. Claims everyone else is silly for not knowing.
Thread derails.
OP asks completely unrelated question after receiving the answer he really wanted to hear all along.

I've never understood the point of those threads. Either you're insured, and they'll deal with it, or you're not insured, and you're out a good chunk of money. Spoiler alert - any accident requiring new paint will probably be more than your deductible.
