Do you think 2 cornhole boards will fit? Each one is 48 inches long, 24 inches wide and 3 inch height.

I don't have any boards handy, but I'm pretty sure they'll fit. I measured and it looks like lots of room in each dimension.

Good to know. Luckily, once in a while there are times I have a lot of cargo. I'm def getting a bike after I get my car so this helps.

I have a bones 3. I haven't tried it on the car just yet. Don't want to monkey up the paint just yet.

Protect your rear bumper and opening with a blanket or cardboard, so you do not harm it with the bike pedals.

How much was that Scion bumper protector? I was quoted 180 to do it with a piece of 3M without the logo. Can you see the logo when the trunk is closed?

I don't remember how much it was. You can see it when the trunk is closed. BTW the top of the bumper there seems to be the part of the car that gets dirty the fastest. After driving in the rain, the rest of the car looks ok, but that spot looked a little dirty. I might be using a lot of quick detailer there, so I'm glad there's a cover.

I am also an avid cyclist and have a 54cm bike as well.
If the bike does not fit in the back with only 1 wheel removed, it could be a deal breaker. I was wondering have you tried to put the bike with the handlebar in first? Front wheel removed. What I have done previously is rotate the handlebar 90 degree, while grabbing the seat stay insert the bicycle into the trunk. You usually need to angle and get the saddle into the trunk first, then the chainring. Can you let me know how well this method works the next time you try this? Thanks |
