A long, long time ago when Google announced they had indexed the Usenet Newsgroups archives, I googled my name with a sense of dread.
Sure enough, some of my not-so-proud moments of internet banter made the 3-4 first hits.

Since then I've carefully tailored my Google results. I've acquired several top level domains relevant to my real name and made them into websites which represents how I want to appear to the general public (and more importantly, to my current and future employers and customers).
I'm using my real name when discussing serious technical and ethical matters related to my work, and I use pseudonyms for everything else.

As a result, when googling my name I look like a competent, creative and responsible person

The Pho options are great here too but discovering Hot Pot was even better, imo.
