@Nigelr32 what is the MFG date on your door panel for your 2014? Curious as I have a '14 manufactured in 08/13, wonder if I have these changes or not.

Does anyone know if it is safe to remove stock oil pressure switch? I need a place where to put analog oil temp sensor. I have extra oil pressure in galley plug. I also have Perrin oil cooler and I am not a fan of putting another oil plate.
So, is the stock oil pressure sender just for the dummy light or is it used by ECU to anything else? Can I remove it without consequences? I found some threads here where people removed it, but I just want to be sure. Thanks. |

The FA20 has two switches on the oil gallery. either one measures temp and one measures pressure, or one is the light and one is pressure. The stock ECU definitely reads oil pressure, not sure about oil temperature.

I'm fairly certain it's the other way around. The switch right by the filter is for the light and then there's a temp sensor right next to it.

The stock pressure switch is to the left as you look at the block. All it does is switch on the dash light at around 2.5 psi. Does not go to the ECU. The sensor on the right is temperature, and it does go to the ECU.
