BRZ Exhaust Again

Hi Guys..

I just picked up my 86 last week, so new to the game.

I am looking at buying the BRZ exhaust, just want to confirm if there is only one type supplied by Subaru?

Do I not need to specify anything to them?

When I called SUbaru Durban I just asked for a BRZ exhaust.

They are checking if they can get stock.

Thanks.

It's made by DeGraaff (spelling might be off there). I can take a photo if you like, you can show it to them to confirm its the right one. But it should be the correct one - I don't think the different dealerships have the resources to "wing it" and do their own thing

It's a great exhaust - just be prepared to wake up your neighbours in winter. On cold starts, this thing drones LOUD. But when the engine warms up you can hardly hear it until you actually give some gas

Would like to see how it compares to all the various aftermarket ones.

Samurai 20v: There should only be 1. So just ask them for it.

Here ya go

Same images, just posting in the thread. The light wasn't the best, but this should give you an idea of what it looks like on a daily driver when it isn't dressed up at all. This is just after a maintenance wash. I still need to find out how cleaning exhaust tips works lol.

Use 'Autosol' metal cleaner to clean your exhaust tips.
It comes in a tube. I find it to work amazingly well to clean and shine any metal.

Here is a short clip from one of the skidpan days I attended. The sound quality is pretty good and you can hear what it sounds like from inside the cabin. It's a bit soft, so crank that volume for maximum

Thanks alot for the replies guys, I should have the exhaust on Monday!

Fitment this week as well..

The noise is not an issue for me, my Supra is bloody loud, 95mm piping with a single box!

Exhaust is on...

Fitment was simple, except the gasket supplied for the rear box did not line up to the holes, had to modify it to fit...

Sounds nice, not too loud.. Some difference in the performance, car seems free.

Will see how it runs as it opens up, on 700kms only.
