It is my firm belief (since S2K aparently wants me to spell any opinions outloud) that a poser would be more attracted to turbos than any NA. This is of course, the import posers; domestic muscle is of course a different story. There are certainly tons of turbos out there in the hands of skilled and knowledgeable drivers.

Taking this one step farther, a hypothetical - if you can picture a punka$$ high school kid who can't tell rwd from fwd standing in front of you, and he told you he wants a fast and flashy ride. You give him two choices, NA and Turbo, which do you think he'll be more likely to pick?

I see where you're coming from, but I'm still not totally on board. I mean, with respect to said poseurs, I think all they care about is:
a) will the car get me girls?
b) how fast is it (don't get if it's turbo or NA, just what is the reported bhp and/or how big is the engine)
c) can I smoke that jerk in his (insert car)?
d) will it get me girls?

Granted, I'm well removed from high school now, and the scene has certainly changed, so I'm no expert. But the majority of my friends, sadly, are not car enthusiasts and for them the word "turbo" holds no sway. Just power and speed.

I didn't say copy Hyundai, I was merely stating that if Hyundai could boost a car when they hadn't before, then Toyota could come out of left field and do the same. If you wanna take it further and get into a pissing contest then by all means go for it.

Btw, hilarious that there is already evidence of my poser theory in the Subby thread. Tons of know-nothings wetting their pants over the turbo, and others outright declaring they must buy the Toyota and drop a turbo in it... Would you agree with me that a car can be a good car w/o a turbo? Cuz lots of 'tards here don't seem to.

For the record, I'm actually drooling over the Subby too. But I promised myself my next car will be a RWD under 3klbs...

I dunno, alot of the guys that have boosted S2K's are sick. When my buddy gets his block back from New Jersey, he should break 700 to the rear wheels easy.

Yeah, seen it before in the drag and in the track (c-west S2k). but I still prefer NA S2k.
