Expect the unexpected. If I wasn't used to this shit by now, that woulda been an accident. Know your escape routes as well. Thankfully i scan my roads and know if there are cars beside me, had their been a car beside me I'd have no choice but to plow into the mini van.

You can watch my other videos of the bullshit I deal with as well.

your car sounds so good, what you running?

Seriously. Would you rather lose a friend or burden your soul that you let him/her go out and they kill people?

To this day, I am freaked that I gave up on trying to prevent a friend from driving home drunk. Should have just clocked him.

Takes strength to admit past weakness. Lessons learned and you can tell your story to teach others. Everybody wins.

Back when I was a kid, DUI wasn't even a thing. It was commonplace. "One for the road."

Maybe I've done too much driving in the prairies, but, there was an open lane to your left, you saw the van was coming up to merge and didn't look like it was stopping. You could have been proactive and moved over to the left lane. I have two driving styles. One for out west where I drive the speed limit at all times and be as courteous as possible. And one for anywhere near the GTA where I speed, and only let people merge when they don't attempt to jump the line by speeding up to where the lane ends

You're right, there's too many bad drivers on the roads in the GTA. Everywhere (well most places) else, people are able to be civilized on the road.

Edit: after going through a few of your videos, you don't exactly have the best driving habits. Not surprised in video #2 that civic almost sideswiped you, since you came roaring up beside them while in the slow lane.

Roaring by them? I was going the speed limit (top left) ... In the right lane straight through lane? You're right. Roaring by them. Lol. That civic had ample time to see me.

The civic was trying to pass the truck on the right (happens later in the full video on SD card) whereas I'm getting in the lane to merge onto the highway... But it's my fault he makes an unsafe lane change I guess.

Also I didn't see the van coming up until the last second due to the row of cars stopped at the red light. The video doesn't show how close that actually was in real life and I think I acted as proactive as possible.

All I'm saying is that you can be a lot more proactive with your driving. But hey, since you're such an awesome driver, it's ok if you form bad habits (speeding, for one), since you'll just be able to swerve away and honk your horn every time someone makes an error while on the road.

If you're critiquing others for their driving, you better come correct. If you weren't going 10 over through that intersection, you would have had the extra time to see that van and not have needed to make a wild swerving action, and upon watching that video again, you saw it as you entered the intersection, which gives you plenty of time to make a defensive move.
