What products do you use to wash your car?

Do you use the same microfiber for multiple things?

Got heavy brake fluid on my old car and it looked like it burned a black stain into the clear. Then all of a sudden it was gone. How do I know for sure it was brake fluid? Simple, I like an idiot, used it on the tires to make them shiny and last a long time like that. It worked for a while but eventually I put too much on and it flung all over the car sides. It was so bad I thought I had ran through some wet pavement in my street that was being worked on and called the insurance company out. They gave me money, minus the deductible, to repaint the entire sides of the car. Then I realized it was the brake fluid I was putting on but then all of a sudden it was gone. As in it vanished over night, craziest thing. Kept the insurance money

My vote is for bird dookie though. How it only got on sides of car though? Maybe an athletic bird?
Google image "bird poop clear coat" and it looks exactly like those pictures.

Edit: realized it was all over the car and not just on sides. I say bird poo for sure. It happens fast, like it's not there one day and there the next, and does damage quickly if the car isn't protected correctly(wax/sealant)...poo. Every bird has different kinds of poo also. Recently I have been getting hit with these little 1/4" or less circular ones that are very yellow. They instantly stain the clear coat even if I wipe it away that day. Then the stain sort of goes away, like the sun bleaches it? Seagulls do large(1-1.5") liquidy white ones that easily wipe away. Their diets probably determine how fast and to what extent the damage will be. What birds are indigenous to Puerto Rico. Look up what their poop looks like. Know the poop. Become one with the poop. Only then can you defeat the poop.

Seriously, you defrauded an insurance company?

Seriously. Not on purpose though. The stain went away before it was to be repainted so I kept the money. Teenagers have been known to do nuttier things. I also assumed it was the brake fluid after going away since tar doesn't just fade away miraculously. Does tar/road sealant stain clear coat? Who knows, who cares. That was many moons ago and they've more than got their fair share of it back from me after making payments and a fairly clean driving history. From the looks of other brake fluids paint mishaps that I am seeing now, mine didn't match the look of what's pictures online of the peeling paint. I still think it may have been the brake fluid as what else would fling up from the tires? Maybe is was magical road dust? If you want, you can report me to the proper authorities on that matter.

Not to derail any further as it does no good to the OP's issue so I still think it's bird poop.

I'm with the bird poop theory lol. Some bird was probably sick and did his dooty on your car.
