The effects of minor street car aero aren't as easy to detect with dataq as you might be led to believe. Even a mph vs. ride height plot doesn't show any perceptible change, due to the noise inherent to the system.
Precisely!

Even the 0.5s gained per lap also is within that noise, even with a pro driver. More variance than that can be induced by weather conditions, tire temps, etc.

Eh, I'm going to have to disagree with you again there. Weather conditions and tire temps can introduce 0.5s+ of variability, sure, but not between laps of the same session. Sure, the standard deviation is rather high for a given sample of lap times, but that doesn't mean the average can't move meaningfully. A half a second in lap times, when repeatable (which this improvement was), is more than enough to win races.

The driver noticed a significant change in the behavior of the car, was able to drive it harder, and we went faster than we'd gone previously. You're welcome to repeat the test we did.

Ah, see that wasn't mentioned in the original post. If its a consistent noticeable change, then yes, I'll accept it. It's all too common for products to have a "best vs worst" comparison made, and while that single comparison may be statistically insignificant, the overall trend is definitely significant.

I believe the bottom picture shows the spats you had questions about?

Thanks @GSpeed for clarifying what I did not.

To my knowledge, no one else has done a back to back test like G-Speed helped us with. With how consistent their driver is, that is a real world reduction in lap times. And to go further, Jake said normally there second time out is slower, and they went faster, so the reduction in times is likely more than what was witnessed. Again, can't thank @GSpeed enough for this data and testing, great company to work with.

Are you guys using the front pieces that covers the space front of the rear lower control arms as well?
