Ptuning or Full blown help!
I want the most reliable kit that will be responsive and 300hp. I live about 3 hours fromantic ptunings shop. I am looking to boost in spring. Just trying to figure numbers. I currently have ecutek tune perrin 3 inch catback. Tomei UEL headers. Thanks!

The ptuning kit would honestly be your best bet. You can utilize the header you already have, and being so close to their shop you could even have them do the install. Its a win/win in your situation.
The only downside is they have a slightly larger turbo than most of the cheaper kits. That combined with the longer charge piping would give you less boost response... However it is a ball bearing turbo and not a journal bearing, which essentially will make up for the longer charge piping. I'm sure an owner of the kit will chime in eventually, but boost response on their kit is very good. Personally, I would recommend ptuning over the full blown kit. |

I had the Ptuning kit. No boost response issues at all. @mkivsoopra

Spoke to both ptuning and full blown. I like the price of full blown but ptuning I hear is worth the moeny. Looking at shop in a few weeks and making decision.

I've had the PTuning kit for almost 2 years with 25 hard track days so far. Never had any issues with the kit. Fitment is top notch. See my posts in the PTuning thread!

No matter what, always go to a shop so they can help you with everything. I would pick the local shop for the tune and install.

Don't forget clutch! But both have a great rep. My out of box tune that shipped with my FBM a/f is perfect. I got everthing from them and didn't have 1 damn hickups. The FBM kit doesn't allow you to use you own headers but it does have a 3" downpipe and fbm does offer a 3" overpipe w/ their exhaust. I'd call LJ and ask. The response with a gtx3076r and a true fullblown 3" exhaust is crazy low. All I hear after 2500 rpms is the turbo spooling. Also the prices online don't reflect the deal they actually give you when you call them.

I'd have to vote for ptuning as well! Especially if you have access to their shop, everyone of them there is more than knowledgable in their respective fields.
