See, for the most part I hate reality tv. I've watched a few and so much of it is scripted/fake. I think that this one is either really well written, or one of the least scripted reality shows I've watched. I especially like when they leave mistakes in.

Another thing though, I watch Fast n' Loud and Counting Cars and I gotta say, Richard seems like a much better business man than Danny.

Danny is a great businessman. The whole thing is that the car part is about 5% of his overall businesses. What is seen on TV is not even close to reality in that show. Same with all the other shows that spun off from Pawn Stars. The closest one to what you see is actually American Restoration and even they make more money of tours than they do from any restorations they complete.

If that's the case then I can see how I was confused. It's just Danny keeps so many cars and sets aside projects. Richard sells everything he touches and in the course of the show has opened a bar and grill, a music venue, and made his own line of tequila. You see all of what Richard does, and only part of what Danny does.

You want to guess what the other businesses that Danny has are?

It will power up, but the network (Cingular) doesn't exist any longer.

Just got back from Dodge City, Kansas, from the 60th anniversary celebration for TV's "Gunsmoke". (My wife is the fan, I just go along for the ride.) Two important observations from that trip:

1. There is no sense in owning an FR-S/BRZ in western Kansas, mainly because there are very few curves in the roads and no hills at all. Also, quite a few of the roads are "washboard" dirt roads, which were uncomfortable even in my wife's C-Max. There was not one FR-S on the lot at the local Toyota dealership; I concurred with that decision.

2. Burt Reynolds is not likely to ever make another movie. I saw him from two feet away and he is sick and old. He has to walk now with a cane and seems exhausted after the least bit of physical exertion. What I gathered is that every major joint in his arms and legs is now arthritic. One person told me it was an accumulation of bodily insults and lots of injuries from football, initially, followed by doing his own stunts for a long time. He was there because he played "Quint" for several seasons on the show during the early part of his career.

Quite a few others there -- Buck Taylor (Newly), Lane Bradbury (Merry Florene), Roger Ewing (Thad), Bruce Boxleitner ("Toby Hogue" on Gunsmoke, title character in TRON), Jess Walton ("Patricia" on Gunsmoke, currently playing "Jill Fenemore" on Young and the Restless), plus several show writers and authors of anthologies about the show. I talked to all of these people in extended conversations, except for Burt, who was only doing presentations and not meeting people. Although this was my wife's idea, I did enjoy myself!

Also, don't tell my wife, but I now have a major crush on Jess Walton. She is sweet and so damn beautiful!

I know he has a band, his own bar, and a tattoo shop.
