Thanks
Yea but at this point kbb can be ignored. So can NADA and all other guides. Play hard to get. Make them call you back, and honestly the best negotiating tactic can be silence. Keep them talking, keep letting them know you are interested but you don't think you should pay that much for an old car. You should be able to get this car for below invoice, and maybe below wholesale depending on how bad their loan is. Dealers will run specials on cars that have sat so sales people will have an incentive to try and sell them.

If you can get the vin you might be able to go on autocheck and see how long it has been sitting on the lot.

Cars.com has 2015 premium manuals listed for 24k. These guys have probably been paying a loan for this car for a year or more.

That said, if this is the exact car you want then it might be worth that price for you. I mean it is a limited and that is a ton off.

But if you just want an auto and will go for a FRS, you can get those for less. There is a 2013 and a 2014 FRS on cars.com for $20k. There is even a 2016 for $23k.

These two lines make me worry about the dealership:

Must finance 80% through dealer.
Internet price reflects a $1,000 financing rebate.

What type of dealership even puts that crap on the website?

don't forget you can haggle for apr and all other financial stuff. People don't remember that. Everything the finance person is selling you they will negotiate.

There is no way to know what the dealership will give you for a lowest offer. So many different variables including how likely they really think you are to actually sign on the dotted line. It also depends on how good the salesperson is and how desperate they are to hit the next level of their bonus. Unfortunately Subaru sales people can be dumb because all the normal Subarus sell themselves. The best thing I have heard is to go up to the secretary and ask them who the best salesperson is. Butter the secretary/greeter up if you can. That person has probably worked at the dealership longer than 80% of the rest of the staff.

Now the other thing you might want to do if lowest price is your goal is to talk to a broker/ that guy that loves to torture salespeople and never buys. Everyone knows someone that knows someone who's hobby is to visit dealerships and can get the salespeople to give them free stuff/ get insane prices, etc. Those people can and will do that for you if you pay them, or they might do it just for fun.
