Some VIS SS Trunk Pics

The lines on this trunk are spectacular. The dudes at the shop said it gave them chills once it was mounted. I agree - great job VIS and thanks PRE for the mounting.
There was a bit of Dremel work etc to make all the hardware fit so I appreciate it. They covered my car to keep fibers and dust out while they worked. Love those guys!

Also - picked up a couple of really plain plate holders. Sorry Grimmspeed but the time has come

Car is dropped off for a few days at the spa. Bob is doing the BRZs nails, hair and makeup. I am interested in seeing if the facial mudpack makes any difference on the performance.

In other words:
The BRZ is in the shop getting the E85 flex kit and tune! I cannot wait. I think about the car every 20 seconds. I won't be headed up that way until Saturday. It is killing me.

Also - changing out the diff and tranny fluid.

So stoked.

AVO has just introduced a brand new traction device according to Bob at TDO. Apparently it is only available here in the US

Killing me that my car is 300 miles away for the week. Looks like they are having fun. The news is great on the E85 flexfuel system and tune although they won't give me numbers until I go back up. Love that shop.

E85/Flex - Done!

I am almost at a loss for words for what has happened to the BRZ. I thought I was close to loving the car on the 92 octane 12PSI tune that was installed. Around about 283WHP.

That was until today. Bob finished up the BRZ yesterday so I took 86 day off from work and headed up to get the car.

Everything felt right on E85. It performs amazingly. Turns out that the meter read is getting up to E95 on the fuel from Jay's Garage in Portland OR.

OK - here are the numbers:

My high boost map is only set at 10.5 PSI. And - I still don't have a full 3" exhaust. Another thing - Bob did this W/O replacing a fuel pump. He said "No need to do it if you are going for 350." He also talked me out of the 3"Over and front pipe. Again - telling me that I would be good on the 2.5 AVO front/Over and Perrin 3" exhaust. He was right!

So - how does it feel? The turbo has smoothed out. There is not a hint of "torque dip". The power is almost instant. The boost comes on smooth and predictable.

In short - amazing. My fun factor just went through the roof.

Thanks to everyone at the Drift Office for making my 86 day a special one!

It's October and to celebrate - I figure it's "candy" month for the BRZ.

I have just added the 47th - 50th mod -
47) Perrin Positive Steering Response System with .5 caster offset
48) Perrin Front Control Arm Brace
49) Perrin Steering Rack Lockdown
50) Raceseng Tug View - Rear Tow Hook + GoPro Mount

Total candy. However, the Perrin stuff did make a measurable change to the steering and handling of the car. I can feel the surface of the road in my hands. There is a ton more info coming up through the steering system. Not too much - but enough to give me more info about what the wheels are currently doing. The car steering feels a little less heavy with the larger RS3s. That would be a result of the caster. I drive on some rutty roads and it felt better there. Also, I had a distinct pull to the left when boosting hard. That seems to have chilled out a little.

I have nothing to complain about. Car is running like a charm. I have put in a total of 1 gallon of pump fuel since converting to E85. Car runs like a dream. Pretty much everything I have ever wanted in a DD and I am stoked to try out Solo in this next season.

I added a couple more things for the bottom of the car to the inbound list. This ought to seal the bottom of the car up nicely and smooth out the airflow. I'll grab some pics of the car on the rack when it's up there.

JDM Underpanels - Inbound

And the Velox extra covers to go with the diffuser...

Added MTECH shifter springs and an STI JDM tranny mount to the inbound list.
Car should be up on the rack this Thursday!

I can't believe how exciting adding things to this ride is. I love the car more and more as I tweak it.
