By saying TRD is dead he didn't mean the brand itself but the Aus spinoffs ie. TRD vehicle models from the factory. The TRD parts catalogue will always be there.

Don't stress there are people who are thankful for info you have posted and don't feel the need to be a **** face just because you use some dealer talk from time to time.

But when you do engage dealer speak try to lay off the beloved tuning companies.

What do you base this statement upon? Wishful thinking? Can you offer a link? A source? I have spoken to approximately 10 people in Toyota Australia/Toyota dealerships and they have all told me Toyota Australia is no longer interested in TRD. It seems to me that you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Yes, what vtecr said was factually incorrect in a global market but given this is the Australian section I had no trouble interpreting what he meant.

Btw, I am hypothesising you have never driven a tuned fwd vehicle. Common with many people who have never driven a sorted fwd car they lump all fwd together.

Yes i am lumping... Lumping hard..LOL.... I have been passenger to a nutter fwd, never owned.... Super quick, bit scary but i only give shit because it is what it is, a fwd that cant drift without McDonalds trays and the handbrake pulled up... I cant help it... Its the typical fwd vs rwd attitude....

As for TRD, wishful thinking as for a TRD spec model being available, its something i cant prove but i still stand by it.. That wasnt my beef, it was that VTECR ascribed to TRD being dead, u would not be able to source TRD part through Toyota in the future implied... That has now changed....

TRD parts have always been available through toyota parts, just not openly sold. TRD as a brand in is DEAD in AUS, did not work.
yes, a FWD can drift without handbrake

You can't. The thread was reported and I cleaned it up. Other members felt he went too far hence the infraction and post deletions.

Feel free to continue the debate in a more civil manner.
