FYI I just ordered a Grey GTS Auto (possibly switching to manual later) - it came out at $42,700. The price includes $500 for metallic paint - but I told him that comes standard - he said he would find out and let me know.

Kudos to Toyota for sticking with the promise of an affordable sports car. The base model Manual is great value. I was sure the pricing would be 10 K dearer.
Hopefully this is a wake-up call to other manufacturers in this country. Just because we live in Australia doesn't mean we need to be continually hit with higher prices for imported cars. Im only new to this forum and didnt know much about the car until recently but im happy for the guys who have waited for this car for a long time. It seems to have hit all the right notes and the pricing is icing on the cake. The only disappointment for me is the $2500 extra charge for the auto. Over in the US the FRS auto is only $1100 extra so it seems a bit steep to be asking for $2500. Due to an existing leg injury, manuals are a no go for me so Im stuck with the auto, but the GTS is over my budget so i might need to go with the GT. |
