If that washer is loose on 02 sensor id say the shop forced it in and its likely damaged threads on o2 sensor and its leaking. After you chase threads the sensor should screw in easily by hand then just torque it the last bit and the washer should not be loose. If your lucky you wont need a new sensor if the threads are not two badly damaged to seal correctly. The maf sensor is the black plastic thing at top of air box again easily removed. |

What did you do to the log? It's sorted on rpm descending, not time ascending...
It's impossible to follow and make any useful conclusions the way it is. Can you re-upload it, but sort the whole data on time ascending first?

I do have a K&N filter though. I changed it a long time ago. I believe 1 month into owning the car, which is 1 year and 8 months.

Are you opening the file with something else and saving it after pulling it off the OFT?
This is what the time line should look like: http://www.datazap.me/u/wparsons/jul...d?log=0&data=0 Now look at yours: http://datazap.me/u/shibayuki/test-1?log=0&data=0 If that's happening without opening the file in excel and sorting it, then I'd post up in the tuning section and tag Shiv in the post. The log should be ordered by time ascending by default. Your first files were sorted on engine speed descending, the latest is engine speed ascending. Short term fix, open the CSV file in excel and sort it on time ascending then re-upload it. Also, don't worry about wideband AFR unless you have added an aftermarket wideband. AFR is the stock sensor channel.

Yes, it's sorting itself out I believe. I literally, just save it from my OFT to the computer, then upload it to datazap. |

http://datazap.me/u/shibayuki/updated?log=0&data=0-1 Also, driving around today and I started getting p2097 and the car also went to limp mode during a highway drive. Couldn't even push the car in 4th gear going 100 km/h. I tried checking if the primary sensor is loose, and it's not loose at all. |

1. the "wideband afr" which is signal from REAR o2 sensor is constantly at 18 which is full lean and it never changes. either their is 1. a air leak near sensor 2. rear o2 sensor not plugged in or plug/cable damaged 3. REAR 02 sensor is stuffed also the long term fuel trim is 37% in places this is almost at the limit of correction (40%) this indicates leak or problem with FRONT 02 sensor , the sensor FRONT 02 seems to be reading ok and with that huge fuel correction its running reasonable AFR, but its likely the sensor is seeing fresh air so it thinks car is running lean, then ecu is adding 30% more fuel to compensate 1. massive air leak near sensor (could be same leak) Are the sensors plugged in correctly and plugs in all the way, grey to grey and black to black. I dont think its possible to screw the front o2 sensor into the rear connection on the header due to the cable length but its kind of looking that way or something rearly weird is going on. If one of the 02 cables is very tight this may have been done, both cables should have plenty of "slack " in them. ![]() See above GREY plug is FRONT 02 Sensor front sensor should be in the single tube at front of OFH BLACK plug is REAR 02 sensor should be after the collector on OFH where all four tubes have come togeather. then BLACK plug to black socket,,grey to grey on connectors Its difficult to diagnose stuff from the other side of the planet and i would hate for you to spend more money on sensors ect when the problem my be wiring or install issues. I think its time to take it to a shop they has experience with 86 or subaru and let them have a look :-) Last edited by steve99; 09-19-2015 at 08:01 PM. |

Also, both sensors are plugged in correctly. Gray on gray, black on black. Primary is in front, and Rear is at the back. How do I tell if the rear o2 sensor is stuffed? Man, this means I gotta take off the headers again! So right now, you're telling me, I may have a leak at both sensor? My wrists are pretty skinny, so I just opened the hood and checked if any of the sensors are loose(yes, i can reach the rear sensor, barely). And none of them were loose. They're screwed in there. But when I started the car, I tried to put my whole head in there if I can hear any some what air leak. But all I can hear is the belts wooshing but I can smell gas though. Ugh! Such a headache. I don't wanna give it to Subaru because the car is not really throwing any CEL. It's just showing in the OFT that I do have those codes. So if they look at it, they're just going to say nothing is wrong since there's no real CEL. Last edited by ShibaYuki; 09-19-2015 at 08:48 PM. |

Here's another quick log I did tonight.
Please let me know, if there's any difference. http://datazap.me/u/shibayuki/log-1?log=0&data=0-1 I started getting P219A (Air fuel ratio imbalance) in the OFT. But no CEL at all in the car. |

Ok that log is looking heaps better, the ltft is now below 10% which is good. It may have been because the ltft was so bad with crook original sensor ecu took a while to stabilse fuel trims. which now look ok The wideband afr signal is still weird but it may be a logging error with oft. I would clear the error code ad do some more driving and see if it returns as that code may have triggered when old sensor was installed or prior to leak fix. I probably should have asked if you had reset ecu and how much driving you have done. but it looking much better now, hopefully after you clear that code it will be good |
