i finally moved over to an Iphone (never had one) and surprisingly im really enjoying it, the fact that this phones stand bye time is amazing, go to bed with 100%, wake up hours later still at 100%, with my M8, id go to bed with 100% and wake to the phone being down to 80-85%

in my eyes, phones are starting to plateau, nothing in my eyes have that WOW factor, its all the same
I'll definitely agree with that, the wow factor certainly isn't there anymore.

Reliability wise, I always had issues with my iPhones back when I was on the Apple wagon. I rocked iPhones through the 4S, and then I jumped ship. The dev scene back then was great too. Cydia was jam-packed with awesome third party software and that was great, but stability was always an issue (as well as battery life). Nowadays, jailbreaks are few and far in between, and as such third party stuff is limited. Sadly, just not for me anymore. Thankfully, with all the Android handsets I've owned, they've all been stable on the Roms that I've flashed and they've all had pretty decent battery life.

Hoping my current (M7, has a slight bulge, battery's definitely going) lasts till i can get my hands on an Xperia Z5. Been going 2.5yrs so... passable, but not great.

I've never run the stock launcher on anything since Eclaire, and that typically gets me where I'm no longer bothered by the shipped crap (except on Samsung, which is just so bad it's unexcusable, and you can't get around it.)

Maybe I'll vacation to the UK next month... sneak out with one. Hah.

Only device that's run flawlessly is my original Xperia tablet. It's now got Cyanogen (so I can keep it current, but even that's available because Sony makes it easy...) Given how much walking I do, the waterproof is actually something I'm specifically wanting this time around, too.

Almost want that 4k screen of the Z5Premium but... not sure I can wait that long. Plus it's even bigger.

Currently, I have a very old prepaid piece of crap that came with Android 2.3.7. Flashed it to 4.0 and left it at that lol. 398MB of ram with 2 gigs of storage space (LOL!) and a single core 800MHz processor (more LOLs). Best part is it's only capable of 3G. I did overclock the processor to 1.2GHz but ram is the limitation.

Got tired of it long ago but didn't want to change phones until recently.

I want the OP2 but the invite system turned me away. Who knows when I'll get an invite. When I signed up, I was around 120,000 in line but that number most likely changed.

Pre-ordered the Motorola Moto X Pure Edition and it should be in my hands on the 15th. It's not up there spec wise with the top dogs but for $399 (base model), it's a steal. Stock Android (with like 3 motorola helper apps), 3 gigs of ram, 808 snapdragon, 16 gigs of internal storage with 128 gig SD card support, etc. - what more can I ask for? Its unlocked too!

Figured it should last me another 3-4 years before I have to switch again.

Nexus 6 is on sale on Amazon right now for $350/$399 32gb/64gb. Also a killer deal and similar specs

Got my invite this morning, ordered the OP2. Now I'm just waiting for devs to start getting their devices so I have some roms to choose from. Currently, there are just early builds of CM as far as I know, which will probably be the first place I go as soon as I get the device. Need to read more on CM and if they support all the new hardware properly though...

Anyone here have experience with the S6 edge? Very curious about it, held it a few times. Feels good, just want to hear some daily use stories like battery life and latancy times and such.

As far as what I've read, it seems to be a pretty all around killer device, with an awesome camera, but atrocious battery life. Like 2 hours SOT max. But it has Quick-Charge, so I guess its not that bad.

I've only played with one once, and I was impressed by the screen, both in resolution and color accuracy. I was also pleasantly surprised with the build quality, which is usually quite chintzy on the Samsung lineup. This is was proper metal and glass though. Not a very inspiring design, but not too bad.

Thanks Guff! The only reason why Im hesitant is the battery. I know its slightly older spec'd but the Droid turbo has an enormous battery that I like. Im used to my phones running out everyday so a 3900 mAh battery would be nice.

I noticed a sharp increase on build quality as well, they took design cues from apple around the edges.

Congrats on getting an invite! I bet you can make some good cash if you tried selling it. :P Plenty of folks are still frothing at the mouth for an invite.

Dunno if you care about fingerprint reader and a couple more small features. Looks like hardware-wise, its pretty stable.

Mine should be here on Tuesday if they manage to not screw anything else up.
Basically 2 weeks from order date.
