I hesitate to call it an amazing mod because I don't want to set anyone's hopes too high, but I highly appreciate the swap. For what it costs and how easy it is to do, what's there to lose?

After driving it more today I'm definitely finding it easier to shift consistently. May seem like a subtle change, but for whatever reason it helped me a lot.

Yeah, I understand it's not going to be like suddenly the clutch is an extension of my body, but it's gotta be better. The factory clutch setup is rather vague and has almost no feel.

Just do it! I'm still very happy with it and have been driving it a lot because of it. I switched back and forth between my BRZ and Miata a few times and it really is an improvement. The throw seems freakishly short after finally re-adjusting the grab point and the pedal stop, but I don't find it a problem at all even after using the (relatively) freakishly long throw the Miata has with its new clutch.

I put an earing on it.

This is the GoPro mount rear tug from Raceseng. It comes with a warning basically telling you that if you need to use it - you should probably mount the original tow hook.

tldr - if I do it just right - I can use this thing to get video of someone getting snapped in the face with awesome looking aluminum hehe.

I will get around to cutting a hole out of the cover when I find my damn hole bit.

They say you can use it to pull straight back but to be careful at angles etc.
But basically - yeah - jewelry. Easy to put in and take out. I mostly got it for the GoPro mount and look.

Oil change with some M1 EP 5w20 (forgot it calls for 0w20, but whatever) and a Purolator classic. A little bit early but I love changing the oil on this thing, especially with the Fumoto valve.

But... there's a new, somewhat concerning sound that sometimes happens around 3000-4000 rpm. It almost sounds like induction noise like from the noise generator, but it's clearly on the driver side and I plugged and removed the noise generator long ago. Did notice the mirror was rattly from one of the heater wires floating around from replacing the glass with wide ones. Hopefully it's just that and not something crazy. Can't reliably reproduce it yet.

I bought some of these https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...ent-light/639/ I unscrewed the factory lighting unit, popped off the "glass" and removed the blue led. I then used the adhesive backing on the dot to fix it the factory light housing and soldered the wires to the factory plug. $6.00 and 30 minutes later I have red footwell lights.

Not sure why they even have the blue light when the lights are all red in the cars. It can really confuse folks, more so when you have a WRB car. Nice to know you found a work around.
