Geeeez a guy goes away for a few hours and come back not knowing if he is a demon or a god.
My code of conduct: If suspect a troll, troll the crap outta them. They will eventually tip their hand. If proven they were not a troll them give a sincere apology. Help whenever possible. Helping does not always mean spoon feeding though. The whole teach a man to fish thing applies. You reap what you sow. Ask a dumb question and get pissy when you get dumb answers you will not enjoy the ride. Actually read threads. Reading the 1st post of 50 and answering it is just asking for trouble. For every post I have made I have probably read two or three hundred (do the math) When things get wild at least attempt to defuse it. A well placed gif can sometimes work wonders (at least for a bit until somebody pulls the above). Try to use the "ohhhh shiny" method of conflict resolution. Report the crap, wrong locations, spam, etc. There are only so many Mods and they can use the help. Remember there is a huge mix of ages, skill sets, backgrounds, etc on here. Because somebody is young does not mean they are dumb any more that because somebody is old they don't understand the modern tech. Tech threads are not playgrounds. With the exception of something that is totally asinine to start with. Everything written is not always in anger. People tend to take any comment that is against their opinion as if it was written in anger even though it is very ovious it is not. Above all else, have freakn' fun!!! A boring forum is a dead forum. I went through a while back (I had 24 hours of nothing better to do) and looked at my posts. As much as I have a rep as a "troll" or jokster about 30% of my posts were outright jokes. That leaves 70% (about 9,000 posts) that were either serious debate, assisting somebody, providing input into a subject or general conversation.

Just came back from getting my first oil change (5700 miles, earlier than manual states but I drive hard) at the dealership. While they were working on the car, I went to go look around to see what they had in inventory.
Saw the new Scion iM and looked inside. Lady came up and asked if I wanted to trade in my old car for that car.. I simply flashed a smile and asked, "can this car slide around like the FRS I have inside the shop currently?" She let out a slightly embarrassed chuckle and talked about the car afterward. The 50 dollars I saved is going toward the new tires.
