Arrived at dealer and I bought it the same day. Had 40 miles on it before my test drive. Whoops, not a first86er.

mostly of the time, i really dont care how many on the odo (must not exceed 50km or 30miles). But for a toy like this car, i would not alow more than 5-7km.
btw, just a hint like that, if your leasing a car, make sure the dealer put the REAL km or miles on your contract, if not, and you go over the allowed km, you will be charged for each km over. exemple. on contract the dealer write 0km delivery at 34km allowed 20 000km bring car back to dealer at 20 034km you will be charge 34km at 15 cent each. but if your make sure he put the right km before you sign, then you will not have to pay. i know, i know 34km is not that bad, but think about a car that you lease and have 500km on it that you have to pay because you did not care about this little number on the paper. append to me once. |

FYI,
These come from Gunma Prefecture, Japan, and should have less than a mile on them. They will only have more miles if the dealerships "test drive" them. I won't test drive a customer's car because I want the buyer to be rewarded with a barely-touched FR-S. I only drive our demo FR-S. Something to think about. PM me for information on this amazing car. |

6. Those were put on when the dealer drove it around the lot and out to fill up the gas tank.

For me, it's 3 miles to our 76 gas station and back, plus about half a mile to the top of our 5-story dealership lot and back down to our detail shop at ground zero. I would seriously question how a dealership would allow an FR-S to accumulate substantial mileage prior to sale, especially when it's a fact that these cars are flying off the showroom floor. Toyota is rock-solid reliable, and the Subaru engine is proven. This is not a Corolla LE. An "extended test drive" on an FR-S runs closely along the lines of a dealership allowing a non-serious window shopper to joyride the car or the FR-S being whored out to ricer sales reps and technicians at that dealership. I'd recommend to buy your FR-S somewhere else at a dealership that respects the customer's car and understands the value and rarity of this modern day classic. |

4, I was there when the truck unloaded at 5am. My Salesman was there too! It had 4 miles on it. I drove it with the tech at 9am. 2 miles the first time, 1 mile the second. Wheel weight had fallen off, or was never there. No biggie! My test drive was me taking it HOME!!!
934 miles until I can get on it!!!!! Can't wait. Dealership invited me to their track day to see what she's got!!! |

14 after test drive. 15 upon pickup (they drove it to the gas station to get gas and moved it around a bit to detail and wash it, etc)

Ha mine wouldn't let me take it for a drive initially because everyone wanted one and they didn't want to keep adding miles. Actually no one test drove mine, cause it was the floor model also. They had to clear out the showroom for me to take it on my test drive after i convinced them i was in fact serious about buying it.

The first dealership (Garden Grove Toyota) wouldn't let me test drive with out committing to buy, so we left.
We headed to Buena Park which added ugly new rims to the car, so we left. Cabe Toyota in Long Beach let me test drive--it had 12ish miles and a 1/4 tank before the test drive, and 19 miles and full tank when I drove it off the lot.
