Thanks guys. Yes, the Hotchkis bar has a proprietary bracket. Right now the plan is to source one locally, and barring that I know someone who knows someone who welds. If that fails on the drive up, well, guess I'll drink beer and watch the Pro while waiting for a new bar to show up.

God forbid I have to actually wrench on the car in Lincoln, y'all will discover how terrible of a mechanic I am.

And you are welcome to throw on one of my front bars if you want - either TRD (wasn't planning on bringing but can) or Perrin 19mm I won't be using. Won't be the same as your bar but better than watching.

And if you need a welder...do you know Mike Brausen? He's a Minnesota guy, is working tech at nats, and is bringing his trailer down with tools, welder, etc - should be at the start of Row 8 in Paddock. Nice guy and I hear he knows how to weld.

So it looks like there are some chances of rain on Thursday...some of us don't have dedicated rain tires, so if it does end up raining and getting soaked, does anyone think the OEM prius tires would be a better rain tire over RE71's with 4-5/32nd's left? I haven't had a chance to drive the RE71's in the rain yet...

No. I would run the Bstones. They have good wet grip. Fenter/Harvey and I ran them in the wet on Day 1 at Spring Nats. I would only run a "rain tire" if there is very deep water and it is actively raining....and the OE would not be my choice even at full tread depth.

OEMs aren't even remotely better.

I'm going to be there trying to avoid the CS wooden spoon. I'm mainly going because I was asked to work as a course announcer. If anyone is running Street Mod, send me a message. I'd love to hear about the car and your thoughts on the SM field. My co driver recently jumped ship to run K-Mod so there is now a seat available in my minimally prepped, stock wheeled, BRZ if anyone is interested.
