Good try though. They aren't on these types of sites because most women only care that their car is pretty and could care less about the details.

I've been lurking the forums and decided to finally register and post. But to answer your question, yes - there are female fans of the car out there because i am one of them. I've been following the scion FR-s since last year and put a deposit down about 2 weeks ago. I've always been a fan of Toyota and my favorite car was the Supra, that is, until the FR-S showed up!

I just got back from Longo Toyota in El Monte, ca and spoke to our sales rep about my order. seems that some of their first allocation still hasn't arrived just yet and their 2nd allocation won't be available until Tuesday. here's a bit more info for curious minds about what I found out:

Price - I did confirm that they are not marking up the costs and they are sticking to MSRP.
service - Longo seems to have a good reputation and I was pleased with their service so far.
Availability - MT most likely will not come in until July, there are a lot of orders that are pending. AT should be available this month.
Accessories - the sales folks say that they can install some of the OEM parts like the BeSpoke audio system at the dock but the five axis parts will be installed at the dealership, and will be ordered when your car gets in.
liscense plate - they do not drill holes in the bumper for your plates, I also checked their show model and confirmed it

I am really excited about the car and am trading my reliable rav4 in for it. it's great to hear about everyone's stories on here, keep the updates coming!

Talked to a girl who test drove the FR-S

While looking at an FR-S today the family that was test driving the car before me was car shopping for the daughter, so she drove it and we talked about the car after their drive and she and her father where very unimpressed with the power of the car. She couldn't believe how slow it was when she floored it. She was like 18-19, pretty hot too!

Anyway, I'm test driving the same car on monday but I explained to the dad that the car as not suppose to be fast in a straight line, it was more of a handling car but they still decided to get something faster.

I am getting AT. It's been several years since I tried driving stick so i'd have to relearn it pretty much and it just makes me nervous w/ MT since ive got a long commute with bumper to bumper traffic to work. Also, My sister has an AT MR2 spyder and its still pretty fun to drive despite being AT.

Thanks!

One of local FR-S/BRZ fan told me the same thing. When she buys it (She's thinking of going buy BRZ next yr), she gonna go for AT. Yeah, this car's AT is a lot of fun! I had a blast driving both AT & MT. I haven't driven AT MR-S, but MT MR-S sure was fun driving!

If Ford made diesel V engine Mustang, that's gonna be hella fun to drive! I'm no Mustang fan, but think about all the crap load of TQ!!!

I saw a white FR-S on the road for the first time yesterday. I got really excited, caught up to get a better view, looked over, and my jaw dropped. It was a femi driving, and I gotta say..that's probably one of the most attractive things I've ever seen. I guess it didn't hurt that she was pretty attractive too.

Why would you want something faster for your 18 year old daughter? Sorry, that just seems weird, I'm not buying any son or daughter of mine something fast (or brand new for that matter)...let them work for it, like me. But in reference to girls and the FR-S...what's wrong with the passenger seat??? haha, but seriously my fiance is very excited for me to get mine, and apart from her already having a newish car, I would be very happy if I win her over on MT, RWD, lightweight, and small.

Yeah, that's pretty stupid wanting a high powered rear wheel drive car for an 18 year old girl. I mean, they have stability control now but still, why would someone like that need more power than an FR-S? Whatever...
