It's not everyday you see a Juggernaut Bitch reference, at least not for me. Anyways, I'm interested in this thread because I've been thinking about a side job forever now. My job has never paid very well and though I've been job hunting since day one, I've never had an interview end with "You're hired!" I just got a decent raise, and it's a nice bump, but I really want car parts so I need a lot more on the side. I only have weekends though (and weekday nights if I really want to kill myself, which I don't, unless the money is really good I guess.)

it's my go to response when someone asks what I do. I don't even think about it. it just comes out. most people believe it. you should see the look on some of their faces.

Well I am in the same position though, I have school to juggle around with, I get paid well at my current job but my girlfriend has a part time job exclusively for her car, I want to do the same but I dont want to end up in the food industry for a part time like she is lol

@Maaad86 Yeah, I definitely want to avoid the food industry. I get that serving/bar tending would yield a decent extra wage and it's flexible enough for me to work the weekends, but I really don't like people much so I just couldn't do it. I'd be happy to stand on a line at a factory though.

But in all seriousness I actually collect and sell military antiques ... its a lot of work to track down buyers but it is fairly easy to buy stuff off people who dont realize what they have.

If anyone is interested in my collection it is WW1 and WW2 european theater. PM for details. My prices are fair value. All the ripping off is done on the buy side when I originally get the item.

@Nevermore yeah you know I am picky about this since it would be a "hobby" job id like it to be car related but usually they won't hire for just two days a week.....i think I'm just going to open a GoFund me account for my car and see if any rich idiot donates money haha

Odd jobs I've done over time to make extra money or pay for college:

Pizza Delivery Dude
Chicken Frying Dude
Car Transport Dude (Drive cars or RVs between dealerships)
UPS Box Moving Dude (OK that was my son, but still a good suggestion)
Computer Fixer Guy (I'm in IT, small businesses are always looking for part time help with this)
Roofer/Deck Builder
Roller Coaster Construction Crew
Costumed Character at an Amusement Park
Craft Fair Furniture and Knick Nacks (I'm a woodworker on the side)

Once I retire I plan on doing the Furniture/Woodworking thing as well as possibly giving flight lessons. The flying one gives me an excuse to spend money now on flying so I can get my certifications!
