Engine Idle... Is this normal?

Just wanted to say I've already did a and didn't get anything on my question. Seems that option doesn't work for the Galaxy Note II or tablet.

So...

I was just at Walgreen's picking up some prescriptions through the drive thru and noticed that the RPMs were dropping to 500 (sounded like it was going to stall) while the car was in park then rebounding to 800-850 kinda like a slow pulsing.

I hadn't noticed it before but then again with 2300+ miles on the car I hadn't got a lot of seat time.

Is that normal behavior? Is it correctable?

Just one of the variants of the idle dip, hunting idle we have, normal lol. Mine did it when I had the AC on and coming to a stop in neutral, the rpm's would drop to a near stall then shoot back up to about 900 to stabilize at their usual 600 or so. No dealer reflash has been able to correct this, not even an aftermarket reflash. The majority of us have a higher idle and this helps compensate. Not sure what causes this but maybe load and the ecu not compensating before the change.

My guess is that your car's AC compressor is turning on and off.
