Clutch Fork Broken

What started out as a slave cylinder issue has now gone to a broken clutch fork.
Background: got in the car to go to work, shift into 1st no problem, push clutch pedal in to go into neutral and pedal goes to the floor and stays there. Previous day car ran fine, no noises and/or vibrations. Just out of the blue the problem shows up and frankly I am at a loss to explain it.
So far it covered under warranty but now the Toyota rep needs to make a determination as to whether the car has been abused or not. This car has been babied and in no way abused. Hopefully everything gets covered under warranty.
Anyone else experience this problem?

Very common of them to go to the abuse section of their BS booklet. I've been accused of abusing when my STI's ringlands failed on a 3k mile car. They tried to make it look like I was driving the car "too hard", sorry but if I wanted to go easy I'd bought a damn hybrid. Another member here is going through the same with wit his transmission and the dealer trying to label it.. over reving or redlining. Just don't talk more than what you need to, explain only if asked and it should be fine. Its total BS on their behalf but its not a problem with this or any other car, just manufacturers not wanting to pay up.

Sorry to hear about your experience.. I decided never to go to a darn dealer if I had the choice, they're incompetent and lack knowledge. the service reps most times do not have a clue as to how a car operates or you have the other type which believes he should have been a mechanical engineer for NASA. I mod my car and if I break it I fix it, if I cant then im screwed.

When it comes to dealers, I think it is as likely for them to fix a serious damage as it is for your average enthusiast to be able to afford to fix a blown motor. Best of luck and let us know how things go.

How does one slam this clutch pedal down when all the force it takes to move it is to look at it!

I think he was being sarcastic lol.. its pretty hard to abuse it.. and the pedal travel compare to other cars is tiny... My wifes mini has about three feet of travel lol.

I didn't mean to come off as defensive.
Just a lame attempt at pointing out the obvious light touch needed on these cars!

haha I understood ya... but seriously... unless you went in there and went at it with a hammer or something, there really is no way to "abuse" the fork.
