If you see my car on a trailer, call the cops, it's been stolen.
I'd probably try a mash up of mission imposible and fast & furious to get the car back

But seriously, how do you manage to drive ~5-6hours, race for a weekend and then drive it back?

I'd probably have to wait up for the monday to replace engine oil, transmission and diff oils in order to drive it back. I guess I like to have that kinda comfort/place/time to do all that if i'm driving my car for an event. And that is exactly the reson why I have missed so many events

Haha at the proving grounds is where i was introduced to her.

Yeah, I'll be driving 8 hours from Sioux Falls, SD to Road America. After Road America I'll be driving to Houston, TX to visit family. On my way back, I'll be stopping in Omaha to celebrate my 30th birthday over labor day weekend and racing at RPM that Sunday the 6th.

Thank you, good Sir. I will henceforth use this as a motivation to drive to events both near and far.

I turned 27 last weekend and getting the perrin CAI out for cleaning is all I did with the car. Wanted to do some drifting and wear out the existing tires but got a little busy for that.
Might try some place up in Michigan when I get there this weekend!

Seriously? Seems like over kill after just one event. I usually try to change oil after 2-3 events and trains/diffs once a year (it will only see around ~7k miles per year)....and that is probably overkill. Anyway, I guess you wouldn't be hurting anything by changing it after every event, except your wallet!

Well, as far as the engine oil goes, I have a perrin CAI and you'll probably be surprised when I say the color of oil changes to dark/black very soon. I do not have any data with regard to an actual oil sample analysis from a testing agency for comparison between oil condition with stock intake and the perrin CAI. But with about ~3000miles of absolutely no track/off-road use on fully synthetic oil (as recomended by the factory) I have noticed the oil going dark/black.

Now, there might be other factors involved due to which this might be happening but I just like to be safe than sorry
Tranny/diff fluids can probably wait but who cares once the car is on jack stands, might as well go on and complete the full circle

Also, were you on mnsubaru?

I have the Perrin bigmaf CAI and haven't noticed any differences in the color of the oil. That being said and as you stated, an oil analysis is the only way to determine if it's worse or not. I run either amsoil signature series 5w30 or 0w20.

I rock my Mobil1 and send every change to Blackstone for analysis. Just to keep track of things.
