Anyone wonder how the GT86 is shipped?

If anyone wondered how the Toyota GT86 is protected during transport to EU you can find some pictures below. The transport to EU occurs by sea of course.

You can see the protective PVC folic on the roof, the sides, the trunk and the hood.
The engine is blocked / limited electronically to disallow the guys driving the car on and off the ship to rev it up and go sideways or do donuts... Thanks god!
On the front bumper you can see that the licence plate mount is already mounted and in the inside the head unit is covered by a plastic cover.
The towing hooks are installed (front and back) so the car can be tied up on the ship to prevent movements of the car in case of bad weather on sea.
Also the sits and the wheels are also covered by a transparent PVC.

By the way, the car on the pics is the one I ordered. I'm waiting it to be delivered to the dealership now, so I can pick it up. As I have connections in the sea port i got the pics first hand.

Hope you guys find it interesting.

The front plate being installed before shipping may be a European "add on". Mine was shipped with it in the trunk to the US, and later became a picture frame since I'm not required to have a front plate.

I didn't know that the licence plate holder is already mounted until i saw the pics. I would also stop the dealer from mounting it.
Now it is what it is... i'll keep it there.

Nice pics! That center console looks so much more complete. I really should've gotten a monogram here in the States....
