I'm sure that the reserve price is going to be around that, at the very least. And the "Options" are these:

Don't waste your time with this one.

Found another good dealer....at this particular dealer all the cars come off the truck in stock untouched form...if you look around there are good dealers.I suspect most of these money hungry dealers will get reported to Toyota/Scion and action will be taken this is wearing fast on their reputation nationwide...

Hard to get? Really? Your sales tactics are the only thing making it hard to get.
Be the first one to own? Where have you been for the last month?

The two dealers that I know of with FR-Ss are both selling for MSRP. There probably isn't the same demand for the FR-S in WV, though. Argento is seeeexy in person.

I just sent an e-mail to Coggin Toyota - the ones charging $5k markup - stating the following:

"You know, for the bogus $5,000 "market adjustment" you're charging, someone could buy a plane ticket and fly to any other state where they could buy the FR-S at MSRP of $24,900, fly back, put the car on a transporter and still have plenty of money left over. The point of this car is for it to be AFFORDABLE. Not to mention at $30k you're getting into the territory of much faster and more well-equipped cars. And you wonder why the Scion brand is failing... All I can say is, have fun not selling!"

Wow, this car is moving! I visited both a Scion and Subaru dealership today (BOTH were charging MSRP, by the way).

The Subaru dealership's allocation was already gone for the rest of the year, and the Scion dealership sold their last two FRS's while I was on the lot! (By the way, did I mention the new owners paid MSRP...) The new FRS owners seemed ectsatic with their new purchases!

Notice the trend here shady dealers...charge MSRP, make money immediately, create happy customers, which generally equal long-term relationships and future revenue for you!

Charge bs mark-ups, make people hate you (even the ones who pay your markup...and you don't get repeat customers...and thus, no future revenue

No kidding! And the ones that pay MSRP and get a GOOD experience will tell others about you! Referral business is the BEST business. Make 'em want to keep coming back!

classic bait-and-switch

Called a couple of Scion dealers in Socal yesterday to see if they had a Whiteout M/T.

Most of them had already sold their white FR-Ss.

Glendora said sarcastically: "Goodluck finding a whiteout since that's the most in demand color"

West Covina said: "yes but we will do a mark-up". I asked how much and said it depends on who offers the biggest. Apparently it is now an auction?

Riverside said: "yes we have a whiteout in M/T at MSRP price" and so went there this morning only to be pulled a classic bait-and-switch tactic. They only have 1 M/T in silver. Sales agent said sorry for the misunderstanding and was pushing me to buy the M/T silver PLUS it had dealer-installed leather seats for $3k additional. Just told him "thanks for wasting my time" and left.

No luck with Scion dealers so far. I'll just have to wait for my ordered BRZ at MSRP (w VIN and ETA June 11). Hope that one goes smoothly.

I'm really sorry you guys are dealing with all that BS. If anyone in Il or semi close call David Willis at http://toyotaofdanville.com/

Tell them Jeremy sent ya. They do what you ask no Bs no markups. They wont even drill in the front plate if you dont want them to. have bought two cars from them and neither car had a front plate. ITs a law here in Il so some places give you gruff not these guys. Only catch is they dont normaly sell a lot of MT's for any car. So you may have to place a order with them for one. They will work with you on the loans to get you the best rate. They went with a local bank for me since Toyota finacal couldnt touch the 2.7% apr I got with the local banks.

I highly recommed them. They also became a five axis dealer so if you wanted that stuff you got it.

I'm getting a dodge dart for the wife here in a few months only because I get 5% percent below dealer invoice. Dad works at the local factory. Other wise she would be getting her car from there as well. I feel so sorry for you guys that are getting the shaft with no lube or mc donalds. They could at least wine and dine ya before screwing you.
