In n Out > Habit > 5 guys

But sometimes you're in a mood for the other one. 5 Guys has better fries than In n Out but Habit's are better still. I don't get why anyone likes In n Out fries, least favorite part of the place for me.

Set expectations accordingly, it's a tasty burger for a couple bucks that doesn't make you regret what you've eaten, and avoid a rush time, definitely not worth waiting 30+ minutes for. It won't be a religious experience.

I've heard so much hype about In-n-out for years and now that I live in California I've finally had it. I miss Culver's...

I like In-n-Out, but it's kind of overrated. Solid quality burger, but won't blow anyone away. Still, I like to drop by whenever I'm in CA.

Not really a huge fan of 5 guys.

There are so many burger places out there now, I'm sure there's a place for everyone lol.

Five Guys opened a few blocks from home about a year or so ago. For the first 3 months it was packed all the time. Now you pretty much have to wake them up to order since it is empty even at the dinner rush. I give it about 6 more months before it is closed up.

Fuddruckers is another Texas chain; started in San Antonio. We do love our burgers here.

That's another one of those "really?" moments for me. I have even less tolerance for drive-through lines than waiting to be seated lines. If I'm not car #2 in line, I go in.

I got to try them last summer when I was in St. Louis, pretty good I'll admit. I think it just comes down to what you've grown up with. I grew up with In N Out, so to me that's still my favorite fast food burger joint with "fast food" being the operative words. Certainly I've had much better burgers than In N Out; in fact, I don't even eat out that much anymore cause I've learned I can make everything better, for 1/3 the cost.

This. I refuse to wait over 5 minutes in a drive through. If I see more than 2 cars in line, I go inside or find somewhere else.
