Still don't know why ppl compare a $2.40 burger to a $5.15 one.
If it hasn't been said, In-N-Out is GREAT for a cheap fast food burger. 5 Guys is good too but costs double the amount. So the question is would I rather have 1 5Guys cheeseburger or 2 In-N-Out cheeseburgers? I'll take the latter, be full, fat(ter), and happy. |

Would you rather have anauthentic mexican burrito that might cost $6-9 or buy a $2 burrito at Taco Bell? To some people the extra money spent is well worth it.

When it comes to restaurant food I would rather have one good but more costly meal then two cheap but crappy ones. And believe me I am an expert on the subject as just last night my wife and I tried to remember the last time we cooked a meal and the best we could come up was that it was some time in early June.

1. 5 guys isn't more authentic than In-N-Out. They're both for the most part traditional American cheeseburgers. 2. 5 guys isn't double the ingredient quality or taste of In-N-Out, just bigger and different. In-N-Out has a sterling reputation for quality. |

My vote on this particular subject is neither place, and yes, I've eaten at both (and they are both OK for what they are) .
If I want a "cheap" burger around here, I'd prefer Waffle House or Cook Out or maybe Varsity. If I was going to pay 5 Guys price, I'd go to a local pub where I could more enjoy the meal.
